Arm - Tum ne nahin khaya? (he asks angrily), tho main bhi nahin kharaha (he turns away from her and crosses his arm)
Rid - Hmm! (she turns away from him and puts down the plate) Ek tho ayo, phir ye sab naraazgi bhi saho.
Arm - (he's about to walk away)
Rid - Rukeey Doctor Armaan (she holds his hand...)

The girls and the boys were both venturing in the dense forest across the camp area at night, unaware of each other. The girls thought the boys were at the camp and the boys thought the girls would be fast asleep.
Mus - Arey yar...bohot dar lagraha hai (she says shaking and clinging on to Sapna)
Anj - Just stop it Muskaan! Itni bacchi mat bano.
Rid - Lekin di...ye avaazein kaisi aarahee hain? Aur itna dense forest...hum kho tho naheen jayengay? (she says walking right next to Anjali with a worried look)
Sap - Lekin Riddhima, hum tho puri puri preparation ke saath aye hain! Yeh dekho(she pulls out a compass and Muskaan takes it in her hands) aur jaise hi vo plant mileyga hum vapes camp ke raaste chaley jayenge...phir uss "Kiwanch" plant se itching powder...for the boys (they all smiled and high-fived each other).
In another part of the forest, the boys had the same idea:
Atl - Yar...I don't think ke humey vo Kiwanch plant milney vaala hai...itni der se tho dhoondh rahe hain...aur vaise bhi, uss ko todna pareyga, aur plants ko raat main disturb karna, not good.
Arm - Haan yar...vaise...
Atl - Why don't we just...give up on the idea?
Rahul and Armaan turn towards Atul. They look at him and then look at each other...Rahul is thinking 'If I just knew ke ye kya soch raha hai, tho ye sab naatak nahin karna parta' and Armaan is thinking 'Ye Rahul bhi na...Kuch to bole!'
As they're walking quietly waiting for the other to agree or say something, they didn't notice that they had gotten quite far along into this dense forest. Rahul sees what looks like the shadow of a great huge lion.
Rah - Sh...sh...shhhh...
Atl - Tujhe susu ayee hai?
Rah - Abey, VO DEKH! (he turns Atul around)
Arm - Sher!!!! (he says loudly)
They were all screaming and the girls heard what sounded like roars from far away to them so they all ran in their own directions screaming, even Anjali got freaked out. Muskaan had the compass, Anjali had the torch...and Sapna luckily headed for the right direction.
Riddhima on the other hand was headed the opposite way and stopped to catch her breath. She screamed out for Muskaan, Sapna and Anjali but nothing. She backed up and saw something moving in the bushes. She picked up a frail branch. There! it moved again, she screamed loudly, closed her eyes tight, and started screaming "Bachaao!!" and beating the bush with the branch this way and that.
Arm - Jeez...just...AH! (he screamed loudly)
Rid - (stopped when she finally heard Armaan talking, she opened her eyes that she had closed so tightly...she opened them one by one) Oops...
Arm - (stands up holding his head) Kiss janam ka badla lerahi ho?
Rid - (takes a sigh of relief) Sirf tum ho! (throws the branch on the ground)
Arm - Haan! Tumhe kiya laga...that there are bears and lions here? Funny girl!
Rid - Tum bhi koi jaanwar se kam nahin ho!
Arm - Acha (he said opening his eyes wide, he picked up the stick she beat him with) says the jangli billi!
Rid - (opened her mouth in surprise) Mujhe jangli billi kaha? (she says with her hands on her hips)
Arm - Haan...lekin fikr nahin karo! Kyunki...mujhe jangli billiyian bohot pasand hain (he said winking and touching her nose with his finger cutely in a teasing way, at which Riddhima thodi si chidgayee...but deeply, she didn't mind.)
Armaan still had the stick Riddhima literally beat him with and he used it to clear the way of all the branches and leaves in their way.
Arm - Riddhima, vaise, tum kar kiya rahi ho, itni raat ko, iss GHANE jungle main, jahan sher aur chuhay aur cockroaches bhi..(trying to scare her)
Rid - (makes a disgusted face) chuhay? cockroaches? Mujhe daraneki koishish karrahe ho? Vaise sabse bada cockroach tho mere saath chalraha hai (she says looking at him)
Arm - OHO, bohot kuch seek gayee Basket (raising his eyebrows), aur sher bhool gayeen, ya phir sher se darti hi nahin ho? (they both stopped to examine the situation standing face-to-face from each other.)
Rid - Sher se to bilkul nahin...(she suddenly felt an odd pain in her foot. Like something latched onto it and was sucking blood) Ouch!
Arm - (throws the stick down and turns to her) kya hua???
Rid - Pata nahin, lekin, bohot...ahh...pain horaha hai. Jaise kisi cheez ne kata ho (she said holding her foot that hurt)
Arm - Dikhao. (he says approaching her way)
Rid - No it's fine Armaan, koi kaanta hoga...main khud dekhloungi (she says as she starts to limp while walking)
Arm - (sighs...'kitniii stubborn hai Basket' he thinks. He approaches her and bends down to pick her up)
Rid - Armaan...k...kya kar rahe ho? (she backs up)
Arm - Basket, tum mujhe help nahin karne desakti ho kya (holding his hands up)?
Rid - Please Armaan, main apney aap ko achi tarha se sambhal sakti hoon.
Arm - (blows up a piece of his hair that got into his eyes in exasperation...and then gets an idea 'distraction!' so he screams loudly while looking behind her) SHER!
Rid - KYYAAAA??? (she doesn't bother looking around cuz she is terrified! An animal bigger than her is something she did not want to come face-to-face with. She had no desire to be clobbered by a lion. She ran to Armaan who was already only inches away from her and hid into him. She burried her face into his chest. Armaan's eyes close with the rushing feeling of Riddhima and his closeness. His arms reach out to hug her, he just wants to envelop her with his arms and stay like that forever, but he stops, his arms stop midway. Riddhima realizes what she had just done and that there was no animal around, she slowly pulls away from him, only to catch him looking intensely at her. Their eyes meet and they get lost in each other. Armaan slowly puts one arm behind her back and his other arm near her legs and picks her up like she was the lightest thing in the world. Riddhima puts her arm around Armaan's neck like a necklace and her eyes can't help but look at him. The wind blew Riddhima's hair out of her face and the moonlight shone on it. Armaan started walking with Riddhima in his arms while they both kept looking at each other.
Armaan spots a big boulder. He would settle down Riddhima on this and check what was wrong with her foot, lekin dil hai ke maanta nahin. 'Kitni khoobsurat lagrahi hai, jaise jungle mein ek akela khila hua phool, dil nahin chahraha ke iss phool jaisi basket ke paoon zameen ko chuyen, lekin kya karein...iss ka dard bhi nahin dekhajata.' He puts her down on the boulder and sees the bottom of her foot. It was a tick that was latched onto her foot. He pulled it out.
Arm - Ab thik hai? (he said looking up at her)
Rid - Haan, ab...sahi hai (she said with her heart thumping loudly while he slowly massaged her foot, and got a band aid out of his pocket and put it onto her cut.)
They heard their friends calling their names. Riddhima and Armaan both got up.
Arm - Riddhima, agar dard horaha hai, tho baith sakte hain, we can wait here...I mean, if you want (he said looking down at the palm of his hands, hoping she'd agree).
In that time, Sapna came and saw Riddhima and Armaan, and called out to all the others that she had found them. When they all got back together, they remembered about their fight and got angry with each other again and started arguing. Armaan was fed up with all the nonsense fighting so he got out of the forest from the other side of the forest, of course making sure that Riddhima was in good hands, with Sapna. Riddhima walked with all the others.
'Pata nahin kahan se aajate hain, kitni sahii timing hoti hai na sab ki? (sarcastically) Just FABULOUS, just GREAT!' He heard the others get out of the forest but then, he also heard...Dr. KEERTI!
Kee - DOCTORS! Ya phir mujhe kehnachahiye adventurers of the forest? Koi mujhe batasakta hai ke aap log raat ke 2 baje forest mein kya karnekeliye gaye the? Would somebody PLEASE explain to me what is going on?
Everyone was quiet.
Kee - Oh, tho ab jaake aap me se kisi ke paas javaab bhi nahin hai? (she says circling them)
Armaan comes in from behind.
Arm - Dr. Keerti...
Kee - Please doctor Armaan. Aap iss sab me included nahin hain. Aap ko apney doston ke liye cover karneki KOI zarurat nahin hai!
Arm - Lekin doctor Keerti, main bhi...
Kee - Aap ko samajhme nahin aati? I want complete silence from you! (she says looking sternly at Armaan)
Arm - (Dr. Keerti seems serious, Armaan chup hojatha hai)
Kee - Aur aap log, mujhe itne saare doctors ke aas paas scene banane ka koi shauk nahin hai, tho...all I have to say for all of you is that...(she approaches them all) Sanjeevni mein bohot saare rectal exams aapka intezar karrahe hain. You're dismissed!
They all leave. Armaan stays and tries to talk to Dr. Keerti while Riddhima is around to take some medicine for her tick bite. She overhears their conversation.
Arm - Dr. Keerti, aap please meri ek dafa baat sunleyn
Kee - Kaheeay Dr. Armaan (she says this sarcastically)
Arm - Vo forest mein main bhi...
Kee - DOCTOR ARMAAN! I do not want to hear a word about that forest. Maana ke aap uss mein involved nahin the lekin, I do not want to hear about this incident from anyone understood?
Arm - Lekin Dr. Keerti, ye hi tho main aapko batana chahraha hoon, that I was also...
Kee - (she turns to him sternly) Dr. Armaan, ab aap ke paas se mujhe ek aur shabd sunne ko mila related to this forest incident, tho aap apne doston ko batadeegeeayga ke aap ki vajaa se unn ko aur zaada punishment mileyga, I'll make sure of it...so not one word. Understood?
Arm - (puts his head down) yes Dr. Keerti. (she walks away)
Riddhima overhears the whole thing, and how much he tried to tell Dr. Keerti that he was involved in the incident too but how Dr. Keerti didn't listen. She heads over to where the whole gang was sitting.
Mus - Yaar, hamari tho baand bajgayee.
Rah - Haan yar...socha hi nahi tha ke aisa hojaye ga.
Atl - Ab tho yar, rectal exams ke liye tayaar ho jao sab.
Sap - Hmm (sadly)
Anj - Aur dekha, dekha kaise Armaan Dr. Keerti ke saamne yun khamosh raha? Dekh liya kitna vafaadar hai tumhara "bhai"? (she says with airquotes)
Atl - Haan yar, I don't believe it, lekin...
Mus - Yaar, Armaan ne tho humay pakka phasadia, aur khud yun nilkalgaya!
Rah - Purani aadat hai vo tho uski
Rid - Guys, uss ne kehne ki tho koishish ki thi
Mus - Tu tho bol hi mat, dekha kaise hum sab se alag hogaya ke uss ko rectal exams na karne parein
Sap - Haan, chahta tho kehsakta tha...
(Armaan heads their way)
Arm - Guys vo...
Mus - Koi hava chalne ki aavaaz arahi hai na guys? (she says holding her hands to her ears)
Anj - Haan Muskaan, chalo guys yahan se chalte hain, I feel like eating a snack.
Atl - Haan Anji, bohot bhook lagi hai (he says but kind of sadly)
Sap - Chal Atul, hum bhi chalte hain, snack khaney.
Rah - Hmm, let's go.
They all get up as does Armaan, when Anji sees him get up, she says in a rude tone.
Anj - Lekin haan, hamaare tent me vo hi log invited hain who stuck together! (she says looking at Armaan, they all go to Anji's side and look at Armaan. Muskaan pulls Riddhima with them).
Armaan takes a step back, turns around and heads to the tent. He felt a bit of a stinging in his eyes. Riddhima watches him leave, she's being pulled by Muskaan to head in their tent...but she didn't want to leave Armaan, not like this.
Awhile sitting into their tent, they're having snacks, so Riddhima slips out unnoticed by anyone. They're too busy talking to each other and dividing up rectal exam shifts and talking about what they were gone to do in the forest, and also about how mad they were at Armaan.
She peers into the boys' tent and sees Armaan lying down there bouncing a tennis ball against the tent wall and catching it and bouncing it again and catching it. Something he usually did when he had nothing else to do. Riddhima sneaks in and grabs the ball mid-throw. Armaan sits up.
Arm - Ball please (he says holding out his hand)
Rid - Nahin dehrahi (she says sternly)
Arm - (thinks that Riddhima is thinking that he betrayed their group, like everyone else is thinking) Riddhima, maine doctor Keerti ko bataneki koishish ki thi...
Rid - (puts her hand on Armaan mouth) bohot bol liya tum ne, ab kuch khabhi lo. (she pulls her hand away and pulls out a plate she was holding with her other hand from behind her back. There was some food on it that she had packed in her tiffin.)
Arm - Mujhe bhook nahin hai Riddhima (he turns away from her)
Rid - (she heads on the other side to have him face her)
Arm - Riddhima, tum kyun aur sab ke paas nahin chali jaatin, tumhara intezaar karrahe hongay. Mujhe sach mein bhook nahin hai.
Rid - Sach mein? (she says raising her eyebrows sweetly)
Arm - Sach main (he turns back around away from her to hide his feelings of being hurt by all the others).
She puts the plate down and taps on his shoulder. When he turns around, she says in a heavy voice, imitating Armaan, along with the hand jestures he did.
Rid - Tumhari jhoot machine mein koi kharaabi hai kya? Main apni bike ke liye spare parts lene jaaraha hoon, main tumhari jhoot machine ke liye parts le aoon?
Arm - (Armaan looks at her for a second after that seriously, and can't keep it in him, he laughs whole-heartedly, leaving a genuine dimpled smile on his face and Riddhima laughs with him.)
Arm - God I love you! (it slips out unconciously through his laughter)
Rid - (Riddhima is busy laughing too, and she doesn't really hear it)
Their laughter subsides slowly. They both take a moment to gain their breath back.
Rid - (She holds the plate back in front of him. She pokes his shoulder) dekha, kaha tha na, tumhe bhook hai?
Arm - Tum ne nahi khaya?
Rid - Armaan, main TUMHARI baat karrahi hoon.
Arm - Tum ne nahin khaya na? (he asks angrily), tho main bhi nahin kharaha (he turns away from her and crosses his arm)
Rid - Hmm! (she turns around and puts down the plate) Ek tho ayo, phir ye sab naraazgi bhi saho.
Arm - (he's about to walk away)
Rid - Rukeey Doctor Armaan (she holds his hand with hers.)
Arm - (Armaan can't believe what he sees. Never would he have imagined that Riddhima would hold his hand like this...her hand holding his purposely, something he'd only imagined in his dreams. He turns around.)
Rid - Ab main yahan thak ayee hun, tho khana tho khana pareyga (she says pointing at him menacingly), mujhe bohot bhook lagee hai, ab bas bohot hogaya (she says taking some naan, dipping it in the daal, and she's about to eat it, and she looks at him, she holds it out to him).
Arm - (he looks at the piece of naan in her hand and back at her...there was that stinging feeling in his eyes again, this time, it was related to Riddhima and the fact that she cared so much for him.)
Rid - Armaan, I know ke tumnay Doctor Keerti ko batane ki bohot koishish ki, aur hum sub ke liye hi tumhe chup hona pada varna humey hi aur bada punishment miljata.
Arm - Basket, lekin I know that it's not fair, main Doctor Keerti ko phir se bataane ki koishish karounga, I promise. (he says quickly and sincerely)
Rid - Iss ki koi zarurat nahin hai. Tum bas khana khalo, Please (she says lovingly)
Arm - (with a dimpled smile on his face, 'Basket, mere peechay ayee ho, tho bol kyun nahin detee', he holds up his index finger so to say 'hold on one second'. Riddhima looks at him inquisitively. He takes a piece of naan and dips it in the daal and holds it up to her.) Pehle tum
Rid - Mmmhmmm (shakes her head from side to side) Ek saath? (they both eat from each others' hand. They sit down and start eating from the same plate.)
Arm - Vaise vo sab mujhse bohot ghussa hain kiya? (he says expecting the worse)
Rid - Nahin, unn sab ko bas sach pata nahin hai, tum vo sab mujhpe chod do.
Arm - Riddhima, tum kyun ayeen idhar? (he says looking up at her).
Rid - (silence for a bit, then as she looks down at the almost empty plate, she replies) Tum ne daal naheen lee? Main abhi leke aati hoon. (she walks away quickly with the plate)
Arm - (Armaan stands up calling after her) Riddhima...
Riddhima enters the tent, she had an idea. They're all eating.
Anj - Kahan chaleegaee thi Ridzi?
Rid - Thodi si fresh air leneke liye bahar gayee thi, lekin aap kyun fikr karti ho di, I mean aap tho meree behen ho na, tho main aap ko kabhi akele chod sakti hoon kya? (hugs her from the back)
Anj - (a little weirded out) I guess...Ridzi are you alright?
Rid - Bas, I'm just saying ke agar koi behen ho ya phir bhai (she peers secretly towards Atul) tho uss ko kabhi akela nahin chodte.
Atl - (feels bad for behaving so rudely with Armaan) Umm guys, excuse me...
Rid - (thinks 'SCORE! One down four to go'.)
Anj - Iss ko kya hua?
Rid - Pata nahin (she says raising her shoulders, but she damn well knew that Atul would head to Armaan's tent and everything would be ok between those 2). Vaise di, aap logon ne rectal exam ki duties separate karleen?
Anj - Haan Riddhima, aur Rahul meri ek shift lene ko bhi tayyar hai, that day I needed off, remember, for Naani's birthday? Ye dekho chart (she shows it to her)
Rid - Hmmm...vaise thanks Rahul, di ki ek shift pick up karnekeliye, koi mere liye aisa karey, tho I would be so grateful, aur agar night duty mere liye le tho phir tho (she peers at Sapna this time), I would at least return the favour, aur mein uss ki aur zaada grateful hoti, I mean night duty lena, it's a big deal na? (she says to Muskaan, who had no idea what Riddhima was talking about...but Sapna sure did).
Sap - (she says remembering that night Armaan took the night shift dr. keerti se kehke so her, Atul and Anji wouldn't have to do it.) Guys, mujhe congestion horahi hai, thodi taazi hava khake aati hoon...
Rah - Ok...
Rid - (smiles to herself, two down, 3 to go.) Vaise di, vo Sunaina kaisi hai, koi news?
Anj - Haan Ridzi, (thinks 'iss ko achanak sunaina ki kaise yaad aagayee?) she got in Jeevan hospital. Uss ke marks bhi achey aye the.
Rid - Oh, that's good.
Mus - Vo kaun hai?
Rid - (thank god, she was waiting for that question) Sunaina? Sunaina aur di ek dusre ko kaafi saalon se jaante hain, college ki dinon se (she peers at Rahul secretly) Umm...pata hai Muski, Sunaina and Di would get in trouble and so many times they would cover up for each other, aur jahan unn donon me se ek se ghalti hojathi na, tho ek minute bhi nahin lagta maaf karne main!
Rah - (he thinks of Armaan and him during college days and gets up without saying a word).
Rid - (smiles again, but tries to hide it) Vaise di, aap Armaan se bohot ghussa ho?
Anj - Uss ka tho naam bhi mat le Ridzi, itna unloyal nikla.
Rid - You know, jab Armaan aur Doctor Keerti baat karrahe the, tho I overheard some of their conversation. (she says casually)
Mus - Oye, itni der se ye baath chupa ke rakhi, bata kya kaha uss khote de putr ne?
Rid - Vo koishish karey jaara tha, Doctor Keerti se baath karneki, aur phir doctor keerti ne ghussey mein aake kaha ke agar vo phir se bolega, tho hum sab ko aur bhi zaada punishment mileyga, tho uss ne sar neechey karliya, and doctor Keerti left angrily. (she gave them a moment to digest the information) Lekin di aur Muskaan, you're absolutely right! Uss ko aise maaf nahin karna chahiye, uss ko tho bohot badi sazaa milnee chahiye!
Mus - Arey yaar, lekin uss ne koishish tho ki na? Ab vo Gabbar hi nahin manee, tho vo bechara kiya kartha?
Rid - huh? (she makes a fake curious face)
Anj - That's true (she says reflectively) Vaise, Armaan did try, aur agar tu sach kehrahi hai Ridzi, tho phir it's not his fault...humey aisa nahin karna chahiye tha (she says regretfully)
Rid - Acha? (she says trying to look reflective, but really, this is exactly what she wanted them to think).
Anj - Chal, hum chalte hain uss ke paas.
Mus - Haan yar...let's go.
Rid - ok...(she thinks while smiling inside 'YES! Finally')
They all head to the tent where they go to Armaan. Rahul, Atul and Sapna were already there. Riddhima smiles at her plan being successful and holds two thumbs up to Armaan.
Rahul gives him a handshake, then a guy-hug.
Rah - Sorry man.
Atul gives him a kitne-janmon-se-bichde-hue-bhai hug.
Atl - Sorry mere yaar, mere bhai, hamari ankhon pe patti bandgayee thee!
Sap - Haan, so sorry Armaan, (she gives him a sisterly hug)
Mus - Oye, sorry yaar (hugs him).
Anj - Sorry Armaan (Armaan and her hug too).
Riddhima is standing a few steps away from him. Once they all get deep in their discussions, Armaan stands up casually with his hands in his pockets and goes to stand beside Riddhima.
Arm - Ye sab tumhari vajaa se hai?
Rid - Nahin tho.
Arm - Oye Hoye Basket, kiya jhoot bolne ka style hai!
Rid - (looks sideways at him)
Arm - (holds her wrist and twists her arm lightly. He whispers in her ear) I think you owe me a hug too.
Rid - (looks into Armaan's eyes and shakes her head in a 'no' shyly)
Arm - (he kisses her hair near her ear and lets go of her arm and relishes every moment that their hands are still touching...her wrist, then her palm and her fingers and he holds her finger for a nanosecond longer than one would usually and they finally break contact. She runs away holding her heart in fear that all her feelings will suddenly come out and her desire to kiss Armaan will invade.)

They say that there are at most 6 degrees of separation between everyone. This is a glimpse into our interns' past...can you guess how they are all connected?
******PAST******
DELHI 1992 DIWALI
A 5-year old girl with curly hair, wearing a shocking pink shalwar kameez holding a patakha. She's between a pack of girls and boys her age who seem to be hanging on to every word she says! They head to their houses and she runs into the circle to play around with the phooljhari. It's Muskaan. She bumps into a 6-year old boy who was just moving in...our Rahul.
Mus - OYE!!! Tujhe tho yahan kabhi nahi dekha...kaun hai?
Rah - Tu kaun hai?
Mus - Maine pehle kiya tha question!
Rah - Tho...javaab bhi pehle de do ya phir hato! (starts walking the other way)
Some other 8-year old boy comes and snatches the phoolghari from her. She starts crying. He runs towards the boy and jumps up and snatches the phoolghari from him.
Rah - Ajeet bhai! Don't be so greedy! (and he runs towards Muskaan)
Mus - (eyes closed, crying)
Rah - (he taps on her shoulder) Suno.
Mus - (she looks up) Kya hai (angry)
Rah - Ye lo (he hands her the phooljhari)
Mus - (takes it and a smile appears on her face as it lights up) Mujhse dosti karoge?

Ajeet is packing his things in a hurry. It's midnight. He'd have everything packed by 2 and he'll be out of here in no time! He had enough of this middle-class life. He'd packed money and some other valuables. He keeps looking up at the door nervously. There! He was done packing.
Rah - (rubbing his eyes, heads to the get a glass of water, he sees light open in Ajeet's room) Ajeet bhai, what are you doing up so late at night?
Aje - (he doesn't say a word. He had made his decision and intended to go through with it. He pushed Rahul back hard and picked up his bag and dissapeared into the dark of night.)
Rah - Ajeet bhai? (gets up, runs after him) AJEET BHAI!!!!! Where are you going? MAA!!! (he runs to get his mother. His mother ran after Ajeet along with Rahul, but nothing)
They never saw him again.
MUMBAI 2002: MUMBAI'S TOP BOARDING SCHOOL
Atl - (watering plants outside, it was his part-time job and part of the way he paid for his own education...he wanted to become a doctor someday)
Some guys are playing around and one guy bumps into him. Even though it's the guy's own mistake, he blows up at Atul.
Guy1 - OYE! Dekh ke chal!
Atl - Main tho bas paani deraha tha...vo tho..
Guy2- ABEY! Zabaan larata hai, tu ye bolraha hai ye jhoot bolraha hai?
Guy3- Tu jaanta hai isko, tere baap ko bhi khareedsakta hai yeh!

But he loved watering plants. There was something about watering a plant, helping it live so it could grow...he loved being needed)

Armaan taps on the shoulder of Guy1.
Arm - Dude...at least give some respect to the guy (he said referring to Atul). At least vo apne mom and dad ke paise paani ki tarha kharch karke dusron ko insult nahin karta...teri tarha.
After awhile of arguing, a fight was about to break out, when the peon separated them. Armaan went to Atul who had his back to them, he was still turned around doing his job. Armaan put a hand on his shoulder.
Arm - Hey buddy...don't mind yar...kuch log tho...anyways, keep up the great work man. (walks off)
Atl - (he smiled to himself. They actually noticed his work, he thought. 'You're welcome' he thought)
He especially remembered this one time a few years ago when he was smaller and carried some luggage home for a family. They had a small daughter and they kept her under their watch constantly, the whole way through. Even when they got home, they did not let her out of their sight. It was Holi that day and she had wanted to see the fireworks soo badly.
girl- Tum ne kabhi fireworks dekhe?
Atl - Bohot baar...(he was counting his money)
girl- Maine tho kabhi nahin dekhe.
Atl - (he looked at her...she must have...they're on every year he thought) kyun
girl- Bass...mummy-ji aur papa-ji nahin jaane dete (sad face)
Atl - (he had an idea) ek kam karo...(he took her veil and sat down wearing it on top of his head and handed her his scarf) jao...dekhne jao!!
girl- (was excited beyond bounds. She was suffocated with the constant watching and not being able to go outside like all the other kids) Thank you!!!! (and with this she ran out to see the light show. She came back minutes later with a satisfied look) It was beautiful!
CANADA, 2006, IB SCHOOL
Anj - Ridzi, walk faster!(she says with a bunch of books and papers)
Rid - Di, I am, aap mujhe jogging sikhadogi?
Anj - You already know how to jog pagli!
On their way, Anjali gets stopped by a guy in the hall.
Guy - Yo Anji!
Anj - Hey Larry, haven't seen you for so long!
Guy - Yeah! Italy was awesome! You got the posters for music club?
Anj - Yup! Got them here (she hands him a bunch of posters)
Guy - And Ridzi...you got those charitable donation forms?
Rid - That I do (she takes them out of her bag and hands them to Larry)
They walk further and reach their destination. Anjali was head of student council so they had all student council members gathered. Riddhima was a junior, so she was the secretary. They finished their meeting. They always kept busy with school activities, naani and dad and their friends.
They were the two most popular sisters in school. Everyone loved both of their friendly natures. They hardly had some time alone, but when they did, they loved conversating with each other.
Anj - Riddhima, I have to tell you something really important!
Rid - What is it?
Anj - (she brought her outside in the backyard when everyone had left. She held her arms out to the sky) RIDDHIMA! I'm in LOOOOVE!!!!!!!!
Rid - Oh my god di!!!!! Tum abhi batarahe ho? OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! (They held each other's hands and jumped up and down in joy and hugged each other. Riddhima loved seeing Anjali so happy because Anjali had taken care of her so much...she had always treated her as even more than a real sister...even if Riddhima was adopted.
When she was two, she faintly remembered her being picked up in a mother's arms. As she was picked up from a place where there were a lot of children. She had grown up there. She didn't know what a true family was. She had even made a friend. Everyone called him Aloo. He was a smart and caring little boy.
Rid - Aloo! Aloo (she remembered screaming out...she was a child...hardly knew how to speak...that was her first word, for the longest time the Gupta house thought that she was asking for aloo (the vegetable) but...she just missed her friend). She didn't remember much about him now, and never knew his real name. But she did know that she had called for him a lot and even cried once she got to the house. But in return, she got the love and care of a sister, a mom, a dad, and a naani. So much love.
Anj - Riddhima! Uss ne mujhe propose kiya! It's been three years we've been together! Mujhe abhi bhi yaad hai, jab hum pehli pehli baar mile the! I love him!! Riddhima, he got down on one knee and proposed, Ab se main Anjali Garewal hone vaali hoon!!!I just love him!
They had been going out for three years. Ajeet had proposed to her and Anjali was a girl in love. 10 days after the proposal, She was lying in a hospital bed.
Anj - Riddhima...(she was broken. She had cut her wrist, tried to embrace death, because she didn't want to live. She was crying insesantly)

Acha hua ke aap ko shaadi se pehle pata chalgaya...I just can't believe it...ke vo itna bada schemer niklega! Pehle itna sweet lagta tha, lekin acha hua humey pata chalgaya ke vo ek dhokebaz aur chor hai, cheat hai, jhoota hai...aap bohot achi ho di, he didn't deserve you! Not even one bit! (she hugged her tight)
Anj - (head resting on Riddhima's shoulder) Ridzi, don't ever fall in love...Ever (she said with tears streaming from her eyes, and she hugged Riddhima tight)
Riddhima had from then on watched Anjali change. Anjali had stopped believing in love and became cranky, rude and was angry all the time. She fell out of student council and all the other clubs. She lost many friends because of her behaviour. She appeared to have become a rock. The only thing that gave Anjali peace was when she went to the hospital with her dad. It was away from everyone at school, whom she did NOT want to see because all they would do is gossip about her.
In this time, Riddhima found a friend in another girl at school, Anila. She went to her house quite a lot. Anila's mother reminded her of what her mother would be like. She felt sad everytime she thought about how her mother had saved both Anjali and Riddhima, and sacrificed herself for them in that fire in their Mumbai house. She picked up a family photo.
Rid - Anila, ye kaun hai?
Ani - Yeh? BigB! (she said, eating a chocolate and as she jumped on a counter)
Rid - BigB? Like Amitabh Bachan...tum uske bachpan ki ho?
Ani - Mera mazakh uda rahi ho? (she says in fake anger. She took the frame from her.) Yeh hai mera big bro! Hamari bachpan ki picture hai.
Rid - Lekin ye bachpan ki picture hi kyun?
Ani - Hmm...BigB hai na...when he was leaving for Mumbai, he took all of our family pictures. Kehta hai, ke tum sab ke paas tho ek dusre ka saath hai, lekin mere paas kuch nahin. Aur saari tasveerein legaya. You know I went to visit his boarding school in Mumbai...obviously THE best for my BigB, tho I saw...he's hung all our family pictures on his wall and taped them all over his appartment. Rid - Tho how come he's in Mumbai?
Ani - Mere papa ki posting Mumbai me hui thi. Tho BigB said he didn't want Papa to be alone, lekin phir papa ne kaha BigB se ke uski education pe farkh nahin aana chahiye. Tho un dono ne decide kya ke vo abhi ke liye Mumbai mein rahenge and luckily BigB got the marks for Mumbai's top boarding school. Aise, vo ek hi sheher mein hain, but education wasn't affected.
Rid - Tho tum aur auntie nahin gaye?
Ani - Nahin. Vo kya hai na, hamare saarey relatives yahan Canada mein rehte hain. Tho Papa ki posting khatam hui, tho vo Canada vapes aagaye, lekin BigB couldn't leave his friends, actually vo aa bhi raha tha yahan, lekin uske friends...na...uff...they did all you can possibly think of to stop him...akhir mera bhai college ki jaan hai...apparently (she said smiling and rolling her eyes)
Aun - (walks in their room) Riddhima beta, hamari beti tumhe bore tho nahin karrahi?
Ani - Haan haan...main tho boring hun na (she said pouting)?
Rid - Not at all auntie! Aap ki family ki itni tasveerein lagi hui hain, you have quite a big family!

Aun - (lightly holds Anila's ear) hmmm...sab sun rahi hoon!
Rid - (laughs) tum bohot lucky ho Anila! It must be so nice to have such a big family. (she missed her mom)
Aun - Beta...tum bhi hamari family ka ek hissa ban chuki ho(sitting down, she says with a hand on Riddhima's head) bilkul Anila ki tarha(smiles).

Arm - (he quickly hid the cell phone and walked to an area where he could get somewhat of a clear reception because of all of the networks set up near the tents...and of course away from Dr. Keerti) Oh hey little Annie!!! (he says joyfully, it's been awhile since he's spoken to her)
phn - Little Annie My foot!! Tumse itna bhi nahin hua ke ek short si phonecall kardo?? You know PURA EK mahina hogaya hai, aur I tried your phone...
Arm - (pulls the phone away from his ear and puts a finger on his ear and shakes his head) Kitna chillathi hai!
phn - Tum nahin sunrahe ho na...you've pulled the cellphone away from your ear haven't you??
Arm - STOP THAT!! You know I get freaked out when you can tell what I'm doing! (he pulls his phone away from his ear again and this time checks if he's streaming live to her or something...'freaky' he thinks and shudders. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Dr. Keerti heading his way) Man, I really gotta go now...
phn - Acha acha SUNO THO!! Tumhe ek AWESOME news batani hai!
Arm - Jaldi bolo (looking at Dr. Keerti, she's stopped to talk to another doctor, he takes a breath of relief)
phn - remember Sumaira?
Arm - Sumaira...Sumaira...(he thinks back...way back) Are haan...vo Somi?
phn - yup..guess what, she's getting MARRIED! And you have to come!! Kyunki we're here for her wedding too!!!
Arm - Kiya...I thought (screaming in surprise...then he remembers Dr. Keerti, so he speaks lower) I thought you guys were in Canada...
phn - Mila na surprise? (she laughs) Ab promise karo aogay!
Arm - Dekho, I can't promise anything...I...
phn - NO WAY!! You're coming and that's FINAL!!
Arm - Zabardasti hai...dekho, I'm a doctor aur tumhe nahin pata ke...
phn - tho kya? tum doctor ho, pilot ho, lawyer ho ya bartan dhonevaale chapraasi ho...TUMHE aana pareyga! (the phone shuts off)
Arm - (Hides his cellphone just in time from Dr. Keerti and thinks 'Issey kaise bataaoon...yaar')
They had all freshened up for the night and gone to sit near a campfire after an exhausting day.
Sap - Arey, suna tha tum log bohot khatrey main aagaye the? Kya hua tha?
Mus - (eager to tell her story) Abey yar! Ab kya batayen Sapna! Pata hai humari patient, she was lying in a pool of blood aur uska chacha hai ke humay usko bachane hi nahin dera tha!
Atl - Aisa kyun guys? (he was sitting near Anji and Sapna, across from Rahul and Muskaan)
Mus - Kyunki vo anab shanab bakraha tha ke uss ne bhag ke shaadi karli thi, aur ab vo vapes ayee hai, tho uss ki saaza ke liye...
Rah - Aur phir uss ne gun nikali aur...
Mus - Ruk na Rahul! Phir na, main towels nikal rahi thi
Rah - Aur main...
Mus - (speaks over him) Ther na!! (back to telling her own story) Aur uss ne mere sar pe gun rakhi.
Rah - Pata hai Muskaan, main bhi tha vahan ! Sirf tu hi nahin thi! Chod...tu hi sab kuch batade! (and he gets up angrily and turns to leave)
Mus - (keeps talking) Aur phir...Rahul ne ekdam se mujhe bachaliya! Agar vo nahin hota na guys, tho main tho chali thi upar.
Sapna, Atul and Riddhima - Kaise (all holding their breath)
Rah - (turns back around and sits down) Well...maine socha ke he was holding a gun and wanted to see the patient dead, tho maine patient ka portable monitor uske bed pe clip kardiya.
Mus - And of course...bed ki tho heartbeat hoti hi nahin hai...tho it flatlined and the gunman left because he thought she was dead!!!
Rah - (looks at Muskaan with a smile as he sits with his elbows resting on his knees...she was so happy telling the story...and made him sound like a hero...'pagal, chahti tho pura credit khud lelethi...main tho jaane hi vaala tha')
Arm - (finally comes after finishing that phonecall...he could hear Muskaan's story all the way there where he was standing) Arey yar, tu tho bada hero nikla Rahul. (they left a spot for him across from Riddhima, so he sits there. He looks at her sitting on the other side of the bonfire, she looks his way and he smiles at her, she quickly looks away).
Sap - Aur Anjali, ye sab baby cradle kya hai? (she said looking at a cradle sitting near Anjali, inside was a sleeping baby).
Anj - (she looked at Atul...'I don't want to do this', she thought)
Atl - (looked at her and took over the talking) Guys vo jo tum logon ki patient thi, uska hi bacha hai. When the car crashed into us, tho jo gadi thi, uss main ye bacha bhi tha...driver ko hum bacha nahin paye. Lekin Anji ne iss bache ko bacha liya.
Anj - (finally spoke) Aur Atul ne mujhe bachaliya.
They all looked at her, especially Atul.
Anj - Thanks Atul. (she said frankly)
Atl - (Atul's happiness knew no bounds) Aur uss patient ne Anjali se bohot pakki request ki hai ke jisne bachaya hai, vo hi uskey bache ka khayal rakhega jab tak vo thik nahin hojathi.
Arm - (taps Atul and Rahul's shoulders) Vaa yaar! Two heroes hamare beech main hain aur hamney koi party varty bhi nahin rakhi inn ke liye?
Rid - Sirf two heroes? ('that's not fair, jo khud ne kiya hai, vo kyun nahin batata, bina apni jaan ki fikr karke itna sab kuch kiya uss TB ke patient ke liye, aur ab kuch bolta bhi nahin hai ke kuch kiya hai...mujhe hi kuch kehna padeyga) Guys, Armaan ne bhi...
Arm - (Armaan hears his name uttered from Riddhima's mouth, he looks her way and thinks that it was such a blessing, everything went so well, varna uss ki jaan mein jaan aagayee thi when he turned around to see Riddhima in that room with him and the TB patient. 'Thank god saare tests negative aye...aur ab...she's safe and sound'...he thought with his cute dimpled smile...and hearing his name uttered from her mouth was enough to keep him awake the whole night he thought 'she's thinking about me...')
Mus - (speaks loudly to Rahul) OYE! Ab itna bhi bhao mat kha! Humney bhi tum ladkon ki BOHOT baar madat ki hai.
Rah - Kya? Kab?
Mus - Oye khote! Yaad nahin hai jab tu mujhse school mein notes likhvaata tha? Chutti ki tho "Muskaan, notes de do" "Muskaan ye kardo, vo kardo".

Rah - Oh hello! hum koi bikhaari nahin hai jo haath phela ke madat mangte rahein. Vaise bhi, tum ladkiyan tho bahar sabzi khareednay jaati ho, tho 4 ghante lagathi ho tayar honey mein, madat tho tum logon ko chahiye! (stands up facing her)

Anj - Oh...seems like you know a lot about different girls ordering that kind of food...itna experience hai ladkiyon ke department mein?
Rid - (stands up) Ladke hotey hi aise hain di (shoots a killer look at Armaan, she crosses her arms)

And all the girls walk away and into their tent and Anjali carries the baby cradle in. The boys are left standing there. Armaan is thinking how he shouldn't have said what he said. 'Damn it, apna mooh band nahin raksakta tha?' while Atul is thinking 'Inn logon ki vaja se Anjali ghussa ho gayee jab ke aaj mujhse kitni khush thi!' And Rahul is thinking 'Yaar...ghalti ho gayee...Muskaan ne tho mujhe itna sab kuch kaha acha...aur maine...shit'.
The boys look at each other...of course, they didn't want the other to know what was going through their head, so they resorted to being all macho and pretend to be angry in front of each other. They look towards each other for signs that would tell what they're thinking or want to do now.
Arm - The girls...are...uh...
Atl - Haan...they're
Rah - (inquisitively in the form of a question) going...down?
Arm - Yaa...YEAH right! (he didn't want to seem that he fell weak and is giving up on the boys' side)

Atl, Arm and Rah - Boo girls..(hesitantly look at each other...and start chanting it louder, although they really believed the opposite)
Muskaan, Sapna, Riddhima and Anjali peer from the tent in that order starting from the bottom up.
Anj - (looks down at them) lagta hai...ke inn ladkon ko lesson sikhana pareyga.
Mus - Sahi kehti hai Anjali.
Rid - Hmm...lagta hai you're right di...once and for all, dikhadete hain inn ko...

Armaan, Atul and Rahul expressed fake joy while looking at each other and seeming all macho and booing girls...while in their heads...they were thinking how they were gonna save their respective girls from the prank they're about to play...YET AGAIN!

Alright you may have guessed it already...but the person who was on the phone with Armaan...IMPORTANT character (for upcoming parts)...make the connection with his past (I'm sure you have already :D)
The second connection is Ajeet. If you paid attention...the Ajeet Anjali fell in love with who later deceived her, his last name is Garewal. That's right...he's the same Ajeet...Rahul's brother.
The third connection is the little girl whose mummy-ji and papa-ji didn't let her out to see the fireworks...did you guess that it was Sapna? Almost...it was Sapna's little sister. Sapna was too busy carrying the things inside the house...remember connections through other people count too!!
What about Aloo? Did you guess who Aloo was?? Atul of course...orphanage mein Riddhima met Atul and he cared for her a lot...which is why they have a subconscious level of friendship...but they're both unaware that they knew each other in childhood.

A 5-year old girl with curly hair, wearing a shocking pink shalwar kameez holding a patakha. She's between a pack of girls and boys her age who seem to be hanging on to every word she says! They head to their houses and she runs into the circle to play around with the phooljhari. It's Muskaan. She bumps into a 6-year old boy who was just moving in...our Rahul.
Mus - OYE!!! Tujhe tho yahan kabhi nahi dekha...kaun hai?
Rah - Tu kaun hai?
Mus - Maine pehle kiya tha question!
Rah - Tho...javaab bhi pehle de do ya phir hato! (starts walking the other way)
Some other 8-year old boy comes and snatches the phoolghari from her. She starts crying. He runs towards the boy and jumps up and snatches the phoolghari from him.
Rah - Ajeet bhai! Don't be so greedy! (and he runs towards Muskaan)
Mus - (eyes closed, crying)

Ajeet is packing his things in a hurry. It's midnight. He'd have everything packed by 2 and he'll be out of here in no time! He had enough of this middle-class life. He'd packed money and some other valuables. He keeps looking up at the door nervously. There! He was done packing.

Atl - (he looked at her...she must have...they're on every year he thought) kyun
girl- Bass...mummy-ji aur papa-ji nahin jaane dete (sad face)
Atl - (he had an idea) ek kam karo...(he took her veil and sat down wearing it on top of his head and handed her his scarf) jao...dekhne jao!!
girl- (was excited beyond bounds. She was suffocated with the constant watching and not being able to go outside like all the other kids) Thank you!!!! (and with this she ran out to see the light show. She came back minutes later with a satisfied look) It was beautiful!
CANADA, 2006, IB SCHOOL
Anj - Ridzi, walk faster!(she says with a bunch of books and papers)
Rid - Di, I am, aap mujhe jogging sikhadogi?
Anj - You already know how to jog pagli!
On their way, Anjali gets stopped by a guy in the hall.
Guy - Yo Anji!
Anj - Hey Larry, haven't seen you for so long!
Guy - Yeah! Italy was awesome! You got the posters for music club?
Anj - Yup! Got them here (she hands him a bunch of posters)
Guy - And Ridzi...you got those charitable donation forms?
Rid - That I do (she takes them out of her bag and hands them to Larry)
They walk further and reach their destination. Anjali was head of student council so they had all student council members gathered. Riddhima was a junior, so she was the secretary. They finished their meeting. They always kept busy with school activities, naani and dad and their friends.
They were the two most popular sisters in school. Everyone loved both of their friendly natures. They hardly had some time alone, but when they did, they loved conversating with each other.
Anj - Riddhima, I have to tell you something really important!
Rid - What is it?
Anj - (she brought her outside in the backyard when everyone had left. She held her arms out to the sky) RIDDHIMA! I'm in LOOOOVE!!!!!!!!
Rid - Oh my god di!!!!! Tum abhi batarahe ho? OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! (They held each other's hands and jumped up and down in joy and hugged each other. Riddhima loved seeing Anjali so happy because Anjali had taken care of her so much...she had always treated her as even more than a real sister...even if Riddhima was adopted.
When she was two, she faintly remembered her being picked up in a mother's arms. As she was picked up from a place where there were a lot of children. She had grown up there. She didn't know what a true family was. She had even made a friend. Everyone called him Aloo. He was a smart and caring little boy.
Rid - Aloo! Aloo (she remembered screaming out...she was a child...hardly knew how to speak...that was her first word, for the longest time the Gupta house thought that she was asking for aloo (the vegetable) but...she just missed her friend). She didn't remember much about him now, and never knew his real name. But she did know that she had called for him a lot and even cried once she got to the house. But in return, she got the love and care of a sister, a mom, a dad, and a naani. So much love.
Anj - Riddhima! Uss ne mujhe propose kiya! It's been three years we've been together! Mujhe abhi bhi yaad hai, jab hum pehli pehli baar mile the! I love him!! Riddhima, he got down on one knee and proposed, Ab se main Anjali Garewal hone vaali hoon!!!I just love him!
They had been going out for three years. Ajeet had proposed to her and Anjali was a girl in love. 10 days after the proposal, She was lying in a hospital bed.
Anj - Riddhima...(she was broken. She had cut her wrist, tried to embrace death, because she didn't want to live. She was crying insesantly)
Rid - (in tears) Di, don't cry..please di (she cried as she said this herself)
Anj - Vo mujhe chod ke kyun chalagaya? Main itni buri hoon kiya Ridzi...that I don't deserve him? (tears rolling down her cheeks)
Rid - Nahin Di, Aap bilkul buri nahin ho...bohot bohot achi ho aap! Bura tho vo Ajeet tha! Acha hua ke aap ko shaadi se pehle pata chalgaya...I just can't believe it...ke vo itna bada schemer niklega! Pehle itna sweet lagta tha, lekin acha hua humey pata chalgaya ke vo ek dhokebaz aur chor hai, cheat hai, jhoota hai...aap bohot achi ho di, he didn't deserve you! Not even one bit! (she hugged her tight)
Anj - (head resting on Riddhima's shoulder) Ridzi, don't ever fall in love...Ever (she said with tears streaming from her eyes, and she hugged Riddhima tight)
Riddhima had from then on watched Anjali change. Anjali had stopped believing in love and became cranky, rude and was angry all the time. She fell out of student council and all the other clubs. She lost many friends because of her behaviour. She appeared to have become a rock. The only thing that gave Anjali peace was when she went to the hospital with her dad. It was away from everyone at school, whom she did NOT want to see because all they would do is gossip about her.
In this time, Riddhima found a friend in another girl at school, Anila. She went to her house quite a lot. Anila's mother reminded her of what her mother would be like. She felt sad everytime she thought about how her mother had saved both Anjali and Riddhima, and sacrificed herself for them in that fire in their Mumbai house. She picked up a family photo.
Rid - Anila, ye kaun hai?
Ani - Yeh? BigB! (she said, eating a chocolate and as she jumped on a counter)
Rid - BigB? Like Amitabh Bachan...tum uske bachpan ki ho?
Ani - Mera mazakh uda rahi ho? (she says in fake anger. She took the frame from her.) Yeh hai mera big bro! Hamari bachpan ki picture hai.
Rid - Lekin ye bachpan ki picture hi kyun?
Ani - Hmm...BigB hai na...when he was leaving for Mumbai, he took all of our family pictures. Kehta hai, ke tum sab ke paas tho ek dusre ka saath hai, lekin mere paas kuch nahin. Aur saari tasveerein legaya. You know I went to visit his boarding school in Mumbai...obviously THE best for my BigB, tho I saw...he's hung all our family pictures on his wall and taped them all over his appartment. He's the best bro!
Rid - Tho how come he's in Mumbai?
Ani - Mere papa ki posting Mumbai me hui thi. Tho BigB said he didn't want Papa to be alone, lekin phir papa ne kaha BigB se ke uski education pe farkh nahin aana chahiye. Tho un dono ne decide kya ke vo abhi ke liye Mumbai mein rahenge and luckily BigB got the marks for Mumbai's top boarding school. Aise, vo ek hi sheher mein hain, but education wasn't affected.
Rid - Tho tum aur auntie nahin gaye?
Ani - Nahin. Vo kya hai na, hamare saarey relatives yahan Canada mein rehte hain. Tho Papa ki posting khatam hui, tho vo Canada vapes aagaye, lekin BigB couldn't leave his friends, actually vo aa bhi raha tha yahan, lekin uske friends...na...uff...they did all you can possibly think of to stop him...akhir mera bhai college ki jaan hai...apparently (she said smiling and rolling her eyes)
Aun - (walks in their room) Riddhima beta, hamari beti tumhe bore tho nahin karrahi?
Ani - Haan haan...main tho boring hun na (she said pouting)?
Rid - Not at all auntie! Aap ki family ki itni tasveerein lagi hui hain, you have quite a big family!
Ani - Haan...aik baat boloon (whispering) mujhe tho apney saarey cousins ke naam bhi yaad nahin rehte.
Aun - (lightly holds Anila's ear) hmmm...sab sun rahi hoon!
Rid - (laughs) tum bohot lucky ho Anila! It must be so nice to have such a big family. (she missed her mom)
Aun - Beta...tum bhi hamari family ka ek hissa ban chuki ho(sitting down, she says with a hand on Riddhima's head) bilkul Anila ki tarha(smiles).

Armaan's cellphone (phn) rang. All the interns were finally in one place.
Arm - Hello
phn - Hello? (girl's voice)
Arm - (he quickly hid the cell phone and walked to an area where he could get somewhat of a clear reception because of all of the networks set up near the tents...and of course away from Dr. Keerti) Oh hey little Annie!!! (he says joyfully, it's been awhile since he's spoken to her)
phn - Little Annie My foot!! Tumse itna bhi nahin hua ke ek short si phonecall kardo?? You know PURA EK mahina hogaya hai, aur I tried your phone...
Arm - (pulls the phone away from his ear and puts a finger on his ear and shakes his head) Kitna chillathi hai!
phn - Tum nahin sunrahe ho na...you've pulled the cellphone away from your ear haven't you??
Arm - STOP THAT!! You know I get freaked out when you can tell what I'm doing! (he pulls his phone away from his ear again and this time checks if he's streaming live to her or something...'freaky' he thinks and shudders. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Dr. Keerti heading his way) Man, I really gotta go now...
phn - Acha acha SUNO THO!! Tumhe ek AWESOME news batani hai!
Arm - Jaldi bolo (looking at Dr. Keerti, she's stopped to talk to another doctor, he takes a breath of relief)
phn - remember Sumaira?
Arm - Sumaira...Sumaira...(he thinks back...way back) Are haan...vo Somi?
phn - yup..guess what, she's getting MARRIED! And you have to come!! Kyunki we're here for her wedding too!!!
Arm - Kiya...I thought (screaming in surprise...then he remembers Dr. Keerti, so he speaks lower) I thought you guys were in Canada...
phn - Mila na surprise? (she laughs) Ab promise karo aogay!
Arm - Dekho, I can't promise anything...I...
phn - NO WAY!! You're coming and that's FINAL!!
Arm - Zabardasti hai...dekho, I'm a doctor aur tumhe nahin pata ke...
phn - tho kya? tum doctor ho, pilot ho, lawyer ho ya bartan dhonevaale chapraasi ho...TUMHE aana pareyga! (the phone shuts off)
Arm - (Hides his cellphone just in time from Dr. Keerti and thinks 'Issey kaise bataaoon...yaar')
They had all freshened up for the night and gone to sit near a campfire after an exhausting day.
Sap - Arey, suna tha tum log bohot khatrey main aagaye the? Kya hua tha?
Mus - (eager to tell her story) Abey yar! Ab kya batayen Sapna! Pata hai humari patient, she was lying in a pool of blood aur uska chacha hai ke humay usko bachane hi nahin dera tha!
Atl - Aisa kyun guys? (he was sitting near Anji and Sapna, across from Rahul and Muskaan)
Mus - Kyunki vo anab shanab bakraha tha ke uss ne bhag ke shaadi karli thi, aur ab vo vapes ayee hai, tho uss ki saaza ke liye...
Rah - Aur phir uss ne gun nikali aur...
Mus - Ruk na Rahul! Phir na, main towels nikal rahi thi
Rah - Aur main...
Mus - (speaks over him) Ther na!! (back to telling her own story) Aur uss ne mere sar pe gun rakhi.
Rah - Pata hai Muskaan, main bhi tha vahan ! Sirf tu hi nahin thi! Chod...tu hi sab kuch batade! (and he gets up angrily and turns to leave)
Mus - (keeps talking) Aur phir...Rahul ne ekdam se mujhe bachaliya! Agar vo nahin hota na guys, tho main tho chali thi upar.
Sapna, Atul and Riddhima - Kaise (all holding their breath)
Rah - (turns back around and sits down) Well...maine socha ke he was holding a gun and wanted to see the patient dead, tho maine patient ka portable monitor uske bed pe clip kardiya.
Mus - And of course...bed ki tho heartbeat hoti hi nahin hai...tho it flatlined and the gunman left because he thought she was dead!!!
Rah - (looks at Muskaan with a smile as he sits with his elbows resting on his knees...she was so happy telling the story...and made him sound like a hero...'pagal, chahti tho pura credit khud lelethi...main tho jaane hi vaala tha')
Arm - (finally comes after finishing that phonecall...he could hear Muskaan's story all the way there where he was standing) Arey yar, tu tho bada hero nikla Rahul. (they left a spot for him across from Riddhima, so he sits there. He looks at her sitting on the other side of the bonfire, she looks his way and he smiles at her, she quickly looks away).
Sap - Aur Anjali, ye sab baby cradle kya hai? (she said looking at a cradle sitting near Anjali, inside was a sleeping baby).
Anj - (she looked at Atul...'I don't want to do this', she thought)
Atl - (looked at her and took over the talking) Guys vo jo tum logon ki patient thi, uska hi bacha hai. When the car crashed into us, tho jo gadi thi, uss main ye bacha bhi tha...driver ko hum bacha nahin paye. Lekin Anji ne iss bache ko bacha liya.
Anj - (finally spoke) Aur Atul ne mujhe bachaliya.
They all looked at her, especially Atul.
Anj - Thanks Atul. (she said frankly)
Atl - (Atul's happiness knew no bounds) Aur uss patient ne Anjali se bohot pakki request ki hai ke jisne bachaya hai, vo hi uskey bache ka khayal rakhega jab tak vo thik nahin hojathi.
Arm - (taps Atul and Rahul's shoulders) Vaa yaar! Two heroes hamare beech main hain aur hamney koi party varty bhi nahin rakhi inn ke liye?
Rid - Sirf two heroes? ('that's not fair, jo khud ne kiya hai, vo kyun nahin batata, bina apni jaan ki fikr karke itna sab kuch kiya uss TB ke patient ke liye, aur ab kuch bolta bhi nahin hai ke kuch kiya hai...mujhe hi kuch kehna padeyga) Guys, Armaan ne bhi...
Arm - (Armaan hears his name uttered from Riddhima's mouth, he looks her way and thinks that it was such a blessing, everything went so well, varna uss ki jaan mein jaan aagayee thi when he turned around to see Riddhima in that room with him and the TB patient. 'Thank god saare tests negative aye...aur ab...she's safe and sound'...he thought with his cute dimpled smile...and hearing his name uttered from her mouth was enough to keep him awake the whole night he thought 'she's thinking about me...')
Mus - (speaks loudly to Rahul) OYE! Ab itna bhi bhao mat kha! Humney bhi tum ladkon ki BOHOT baar madat ki hai.
Rah - Kya? Kab?
Mus - Oye khote! Yaad nahin hai jab tu mujhse school mein notes likhvaata tha? Chutti ki tho "Muskaan, notes de do" "Muskaan ye kardo, vo kardo".
Armaan taps Rahul's shoulder
Arm - Abey, tujhe sharam nahin aati? Ladkiyon se notes leta hai?
Rah - Yaar...bas ek baar kiya tha...
Mus - Dekh rahul! Jhoot mat bol!
Rah - Acha yaar, bas 4 bar...bas notes hi maange the.
Atl - Haan tho...notes...notes hi maangey the na, tho uss me kaunsi hero vaali baat hai?
Anj - Aur jo maine tumhe samples tayar karke diye the taake Dr. Keerti se tum bachjao...vo?
Atl - Anji...mera yeh matlab nahin tha ('uff the pressure, ek taraf Anjali, dusri taraf Armaan aur Rahul...forget it, they'll understand, Anjali ko ghussa nahin karna hai bass')
Sap - Vo tho kya? Tumhara matlab ke hum yun hi jhak marte hain?
Arm - Haan...vo...
Rid - (Riddhima didn't know that Armaan wasn't replying to Sapna's question, but just happened to remember something else he wanted to say) HAAN? Matlab hum ladkiyan faltoo hain?
Arm - Nahin...m...mera yeh matlab nahin tha Basket...
Mus - Bas (stands up rapidly) Bohot hogaya! Hum tum ladkon ko thoda sa bhi bhao dete hain to sar pe chadjate ho...aur humey kuch bhi nahin samajhte!
Sap - (stands up with her) Haan! Ab dekhna humse koi madat nahin mileygi tho tum logon pe kiya guzregi! Tum ladkon ko sab kuch akela karna pareyga tho pata chaleyga.
Rah - Oh hello! hum koi bikhaari nahin hai jo haath phela ke madat mangte rahein. Vaise bhi, tum ladkiyan tho bahar sabzi khareednay jaati ho, tho 4 ghante lagathi ho tayar honey mein, madat tho tum logon ko chahiye! (stands up facing her)
Mus - Aur tum ladke, khana aise khaate ho ke pata nahin 400 days se bhuke ho! (faces him)
Sap - Aur kaprey aise pehenthe ho ke ulte seedhe hote hain.
Arm - (standing up...he totally thought back to the incident where he was wearing his shirt inside out, he had to defend himself) well at least hum restaurant jaakey sirf salad nahin order kartey...(turns to Atul)...Atul, would you like a Salad?
Atl - No way!
Anj - Oh...seems like you know a lot about different girls ordering that kind of food...itna experience hai ladkiyon ke department mein?
Rid - (stands up) Ladke hotey hi aise hain di (shoots a killer look at Armaan, she crosses her arms)
Atl - Yaar, Ridz, saarey ladke ek jaise nahin hotey.
Arm - Haan...what Atul said...
Rah - Lekin saari ladkiyan ek jaisi hoti hain!
Anj - That's it! This means WAR!
And all the girls walk away and into their tent and Anjali carries the baby cradle in. The boys are left standing there. Armaan is thinking how he shouldn't have said what he said. 'Damn it, apna mooh band nahin raksakta tha?' while Atul is thinking 'Inn logon ki vaja se Anjali ghussa ho gayee jab ke aaj mujhse kitni khush thi!' And Rahul is thinking 'Yaar...ghalti ho gayee...Muskaan ne tho mujhe itna sab kuch kaha acha...aur maine...shit'.
The boys look at each other...of course, they didn't want the other to know what was going through their head, so they resorted to being all macho and pretend to be angry in front of each other. They look towards each other for signs that would tell what they're thinking or want to do now.
Arm - The girls...are...uh...
Atl - Haan...they're
Rah - (inquisitively in the form of a question) going...down?
Arm - Yaa...YEAH right! (he didn't want to seem that he fell weak and is giving up on the boys' side)
Atl - (he also didn't want to show that he fell weak and was giving up on the boys' side) They're...they're going down!
Atl, Arm and Rah - Boo girls..(hesitantly look at each other...and start chanting it louder, although they really believed the opposite)
Muskaan, Sapna, Riddhima and Anjali peer from the tent in that order starting from the bottom up.
Anj - (looks down at them) lagta hai...ke inn ladkon ko lesson sikhana pareyga.
Mus - Sahi kehti hai Anjali.
Rid - Hmm...lagta hai you're right di...once and for all, dikhadete hain inn ko...
Sap - Ke girls are THE BEST
All the girls high five.
Armaan, Atul and Rahul expressed fake joy while looking at each other and seeming all macho and booing girls...while in their heads...they were thinking how they were gonna save their respective girls from the prank they're about to play...YET AGAIN!
CONNECTIONS WITH PAST************************************DID YOU GET ALL OF THEM?
Alright you may have guessed it already...but the person who was on the phone with Armaan...IMPORTANT character (for upcoming parts)...make the connection with his past (I'm sure you have already :D)
The second connection is Ajeet. If you paid attention...the Ajeet Anjali fell in love with who later deceived her, his last name is Garewal. That's right...he's the same Ajeet...Rahul's brother.
The third connection is the little girl whose mummy-ji and papa-ji didn't let her out to see the fireworks...did you guess that it was Sapna? Almost...it was Sapna's little sister. Sapna was too busy carrying the things inside the house...remember connections through other people count too!!
What about Aloo? Did you guess who Aloo was?? Atul of course...orphanage mein Riddhima met Atul and he cared for her a lot...which is why they have a subconscious level of friendship...but they're both unaware that they knew each other in childhood.

Niki and Chatterbox thank you!!!!Do you guys watch Dil mil gaye nowadays? I also post this story on the Dil Mil Gaye blogspot under the name "Socha na tha" since there was already another story there under the name "Jab Dil Miley".

Armaan sits back on his seat satisfied, with a smile and starts reading a magazine.

Atl - (sits up) Yar, boriat horahi hai
Sap - Haan (looking out the window) abhi hum pohonchne hi vaale hongay
Atl - IDEA! (chutki baja ke)
Anj - (covers her ears with a pillow) Sone bhi nahi dete tum log!
Sap - Shaam horahi hai, raat bhi nahi hai, abhi kyun soyen?
Anj - FYI, shayad you don't know, lekin hum logon ko vahan pohonchte hi kitna kaam karna hai, andazaa bhi hai kiya? Doc Keerti ne kaha tha ke purey gaon ko treat karna hai. Tho jitna aaram abhi milsakta hai, vo karlo, right Armaan?
Arm - (yells from a couple of seats in front) What?
Atl - (surprised, stands up, yells accross the bus) Armaan...tu vahan kaise pohonchgaya...aur tu vahan hai, tho phir, main itni der se lori kiss ko suna raha tha? (looks down at the guy sitting in front of him who he had been singing to "chanda mama so gaye, suraj chachoo jagey")
Arm - (turns around amused)
Anj - (sits up finally) Armaan, Ridzi bhi sohrahi hai kiya?
Anjali didn't know that her sister wasn't sleeping. Riddhima couldn't think of sleeping after Armaan had whispered in her ear and she had became red like a tomato. Her heart was racing, and as we all know too well, she's stubborn, tho neend ko bhagane main vo tho expert thi.
Rid - Nahin di, main jaagrahi hoon!
Anj - Tho come sit here, there's a seat next to me.
Rid - (looks at Armaan) umm...main...aati hoon.
Arm - (looks at Riddhima with those eyes...the don't-leave-me eyes and from her hesitation, he could sense that she doesn't want to leave him either) Anji, vo...I think she's feeling kind of bus-sick!
Rid - Kya? (quietly)
Anj - Is everything ok? Main vahan aoon?
Arm - No need...I've got lots of experience with this.
Anj - ok, suit yourself (she was kind of relieved because the one thing she couldn't stand was the smell of vomit, so she dove back under her covers)
Arm - Bull's eye!
(Now it's more like night, so the lights of the bus close...yup...it was a luxury bus)
Rid - (to armaan) tum ne jhoot kyun bola? Main bilkul thik hoon...khamakha mein tum ne di ko pareyshan kar diya!
Arm - Basket...di di di...tum kabhi apney baare main kabhi nahin sochtin?
Rid - Main...of course sochti hoon. Aur abhi mujhe di ke paas jana hai.(looks at him, but not in his eyes...she's not a good liar...she starts getting up)
Arm - (looks at her) Don't go Basket.
Fighting her desire to stay, Riddhima takes her blanket and backpack. She has to go in front of Armaan's seat to get out into the aisle of the bus. Once she's right in front of Armaan, he's sitting down watching her leave with his sad eyes and she's standing up facing him, she attempts to grab the handle on top of her with the hand she's holding her blanket with, but right then, the bus tire goes over a majorly unkept road with lots of holes, and as a result of her not having grabbed anything, she falls forward, bilkul Armaan ki bahon main. As she lets go of the blanket she was holding, it falls right on top of them.
Riddhima and Armaan's lips were inches away from each other's. Her hands were on his chest. Armaan had both arms wrapped around her. They were extremely close. The whole bus was in a rucus.
Ek aur gadda.
Armaan pulls her closer to him by the waist. Inside the airy blanket, it was as if they were completely alone, with no one around them. They were in each other's arms, gazing at each other when Armaan managed to regain conciousness. He pulled the blanket off of them slowly and Riddhima got back up. They were both extremely nervous. She quickly took her blanket, picked up her pillow and headed towards where Anjali was sitting.
Atl - (seeing Riddhima come over, he yells back at Armaan) Armaan, mere bhai, tu vahan akele kya karraha hai, tu bhi aja idhar. Mere paas seat khaali hai.
Arm - (put his hands over his face...'Damn...apney upar control kyun nahi rehta jab uske aas paas hota hun?' and he gets up and heads Atul's way.)
Awhile later, the bus stopped and the doors opened Dr. Keerti stands up to make an important announcement.
Kee - Doctors and interns expecially, can I please have your undivided attention.

As she said this, two new passengers got on board the bus. The first was a girl with curly hair in a pony tied with a purple scarf and a purple kurta and jeans. Behind her was a guy wearing jeans and a shirt topped off with a vest.
Kee - Please welcome Dr. Muskaan Chadda and Dr. Rahul Garewal. You may take your seats over there. (she pointed to the back and sat back down)
Atl - Arey Muski!! (he said standing up)
Mus - Oye! Atul! Kaisa hai re? Main tho samjhi tu kabhi phir nahin dikhega! (they high fived each other)
Anj - (gets up from under the covers) Tum ek dusrey ko jaante ho?
Atl - Haan Anji, vo actually hum dono med exams mein partners the.
Mus - Haan yar! Aur kya waat lagadithi humney apney saamne vaalon ki! Yaad hai tujhe? Kaise ghoor ghoor ke humey dekhraha tha! (starts laughing...the muskaan laugh :P)
Rah - (walks up from behind) Bas kar, teri hassi sun ke tho sab apni seats se uthke bhaag jayenge.
Mus - Tujhse kisne kaha hai yahan karhe rehkar mujhe haste dekhneko...chal jaa apney raaste!
Rah - Haan haan! Jaaraha hoon (he turns back around and searches for another seat just in time to hear his name being called...he seemed to recognize the voice)
Arm - Raoool. (he said with a mischievous smile)
Rah - (thinks 'Aww man...not here too.')
Arm - Kya hua? Hairaan hogaya na.
Rah - (turns around) Armaan.
Arm - THE one and only.
Rah - (forced smile) Tu yahan kaise?
Arm - Actually, ye question tho mujhe tujhse poochna chahiye na...vo kya hai, mein tho yahan kaafi dinon se hoon...tu tho bas abhi abhi aya hai...hai ke nahi?
Anj - Hold on, hold on just one second. Ab tum dono bhi ek dusre ko jaante ho?
Arm - Anji, hum dono ek dusre ko college ke days se jaante hain. Kyun Raool?
Rah - Tu sab ki tarha mera naam thik se nahin lesakta?
Arm - You know, mein theek se kehta, lekin jab insaan hi teda sa ho...tho uska naam bhi uss hisaab se lena chahiye na?
Mus - Teri tho bachpan ki aadat hai...sab se problem hai, kadhoos kahinka.
Rah - Tu na...tu tho bas chup kar!
Mus - Kyun, maine tujhse ye mooh kiraye pe naheen liya hai, mera apna hai...jo dil me ayega boloungi...bol kya karlega?
Rah - Tu jaanti nahin hai mujhe...ye jo dandanati phirti hai na...teri bachpan se lekar aaj tak ki saari pol kholdunga.
Mus - (a bit nervous) chal chal...m..main nahin darti!
Arm - (puts his elbow on Rahul's shoulder) Abhi bhi time hai boss...ye blackmailing chod de, aur seedhe raaste pe aaja.
Rah - (jerks his shoulder away)
Atl - Rahul is it? I'm Atul.
Rah - Hi (shakes hands)
Sap - I'm Sapna
Rid - Riddhima
Rah - Nice to meet you (he said smiling and shook her hand)
Arm - (got jealous looking at Riddhima shaking Rahul's hand) Oook...(he took him by the shoulder) we have a lot of catching up to do dude (and brought him to sit on another seat..just to get him away from Riddhima).
The bus arrives at the village. The camp is set up with tents for doctors and interns. They all get off the bus.
Kee - Alright doctors. Make sure your pagers are on, charged and working. It's extremely important. Idhar ka ilaaka kaheen kaheen mountainous hai. Aap sab ko ek area mileyga. Uss area mein jitne patients hain unn ko treat karna hoga. If interns need any consult from doctors, please call them on your pager. (she posted something near a tent) Here are your assigned areas. You will be working in pairs.
Rah - (as he looked at the posted sheet while standing in the crowd of people) Abey yar...meri kismat phooti hai...
Mus - Hat yaar (pushing people out of the way, her eyes widen looking at it) Teri kismat? MERI kismat phooti hai jo tere saat kaam karna pareyga!
Atl - Anji, our area is A-62.
Anj - Atul, let me just grab my backpack (Anji was kind of glad...she wouldn't have to get to know someone new, it was just Atul)
Sap - Kamni? Who's...(she heard Kamni's name being called so she turned around to look, she was standing surrounded by guy interns)
Arm - Hmmm...Basket, lagta hai ke hum dono ka janam janam ka saath hai.
Rid - (she was glad about the fact that she was with Armaan, but at the same time, didn't want to show it.) Please Armaan...kabhi serious bhi hojaya karo.
Arm - What...I'm serious. (cute dimpled smile)
They all headed their ways. There was a lot of walking to do. The village didn't have wide enough roads for vehicles to travel on.
RAHUL AND MUSKAAN
Mus - UFF!! Lagta hai hamara keema nikaljayega tab hi hamara Area H-16 ayega! (she says wiping some sweat from her forehead)
Rah - keema nahin, kichdi...main non-veg nahin khata.
Mus - Oye, zaada smart baane ki koishish nahin kar, aur vo kya tha, Hello ji, hi ji (imitating Rahul sarcastically and shaking an invisible hand trying to show him how he looked like when he was shaking hands with Sapna and Riddhima)!
Rah - Oye! Zadaa nakal mat utaar! Varna main ye saari baat ghar jaate hi aunti ko batadounga.
Mus - OHHH...Rahul is a tadle-tail!
Rah - Acha! Aur uss din tu ne MERA phone cheenke MERI mom ko kya bolatha (imitating Muskaan in a sarcastic voice) Aunti, Rahul kuch khaata nahin hai...(back to his voice) aur pata nahin kya kya, pata hai, tu tho bol ke duty pe chaleegaee, aur puri raat mujhe ek lambi si lecture sunni padi, ke...Rahul beta, tu kahega nahin tho hatta gatta kaise baneyga aur pata nahin kya kya!
Mus - (laughs) tho sahee tho bola aunti ne! Zindagi ek baar milti hai...mujhe dekh, ye ghee, shakkar, thel, ye sab khaane main ho tho mazaa hai...subha subha do char garam garam parathe nahin kahe, tho lanat hai insaan pe!
Rah - Abey...DO CHAR PARATHE? Pata nahin tera khaya hua kahan jaata hai...tujhe dekkhe tho lagta hai bhooki hai! Baat karti hai! Main ye sab khaane lagoon na, tho phool ke mota hojaaoon.
Mus - (serious) haan yaar...phir tho koi ladki tujhse bhool ke bhi shaadi nahin kareygee...ek tho taddle-tail, upar se khadoos, kam-ak...(counting on her fingers)
Rah - Hogaya?
Mus - Nahin...kam-akal, badshakal...(still counting on her fingers)
Rah - Koi nahin mila tho kiya hua...tu hai na...(he puts his arm around her shoulder)
Mus - Hat! (pushes his arm off and pushes him to the side)
They arrive in their area. They start treating a patient when they hear a noise accross the house where they were treating.

ATUL AND ANJALI
Atl - Ye lo Anji (hands her a bottle of hand cream)
Anj - Atul, what's this?
Atl - Hand cream. Tum jab Ridzi se baat karrahi thi uss din, tho maine suna tha ke latex gloves se tumhe irritation hoti hai, tho, I went out and bought some of this hand cream. It's supposed to help with allergies.
Anj - Atul...(doesn't know what to say...no guy has done something like this for her before) you didn't have to...
Atl - I wanted to Anji.
Anj - (she puts some on and keeps the tube in her lab pocket)
Atl - Tumhe kabhi kissi bhi cheez ki zarurat ho, just let me know ok?
Anj - Thanks Atul...I don't need anything.
Atl - Anjali ek baat puchoon?
Anj - (she's in a good mood) hmm...
Atl - You know Anji...I hope ke tum kissi aur intern ke saath pair up nahin hona chahti thi...
Anj - No Atul (smiles for once) you're just fine.
Atl - Kyunki maine man hi man me dua mangi thi...ke main tumhare saat pair-up hoon.
Anj - (looks at Atul)
Atl - (as he's walking he notices the road is getting thinner, he sees the poster A-62, it was a mountainous area) Lagta hai pohonchgaye.
Anj - (distracted) oh...(looks around the area) MOUNTAINS????
Atl - Haan...I guess...tum bas dekh ke chalna.
As he says this, they see a vehicle...heading their way...full force, high speed!

SAPNA AND KAMNI
They had treated quite a few patients. Actually, only Sapna had treated quite a lot of patients. Kamni was prancing around the interns in the area next to them)
Sap - (shook her head) I can't believe it...kuch log aise bhi hotey hain (to herself as she was heading to the next patient. She hears a commotion and heads to the middle of the centre where many people were gathered. She asks a person in the crowd) Bhaisahab, ye sab kiya hai?
Man - Behenji, yeh log yahan koi cumplecs banana chahrahe hain...aur hamare ghar thodna chahrahe hain.
Sap - (she's stunned) Kya? Aap ka ghar?
Man - Hamara hi nahin, ham sab ka.
Sap - (she heads into the middle of the crowd and sees a young guy around her age in a black suit trying to quiet everyone down).
Guy - Please, aap log humay ek chance dein. Hum sab kuch thik kardeinge.
Sap - (hears voices of the villagers...'Tu kiya sahi kareyga, tum sab log tho yahan hamara ghar thodne aye ho!')
Guy - Nahin, aisa nahin hai, hum aapki madat karne aye hain.
She hears another voice coming from the back. She sees a bald fat man standing on top of a stage-type thing.
Fat - Bass Amit! Bohot ho gayee lallu chappu...ab in saare gavaron se kaho ke apna samaan nikaleyn aur nikal jayen apne gharon se!
RIDDHIMA AND ARMAAN
Rid - (carrying her equipment)
Arm - (also carrying his equipment, they had a bit of climbing to do ahead) Mujhe do Riddhima.
Rid - Kya chahiye?
Arm - Tumhara medical equipment.
Rid - Nahin, it's fine, main apna khud hi carry karsakti hoon.
Arm - mujhpe bharosa nahin hai? (looks at her)
Rid - (nazrein churake) nahin, aisi baath nahin hai, bas...sabko apna sab kuch khud hi carry karna chahiye.
Arm - hmm...yeh baat bhi thik hai. (he takes whatever equipment he had in his hand and puts in into his backpack strapped on his back, then he comes close to Riddhima and bends down...he's about to pick her up)
Rid - (jumps back) ye kiya karrahe ho? (startled)
Arm - Tum hi ne tho kaha tha...
Rid - Maine...maine vo cheezon ke baare main kaha tha.
Arm - Ohhhh..acha (looks at the shy Riddhima with his cute dimpled smile)
They reach an escalated area. Armaan climbs up and extends his hand out to Riddhima.
Rid - (has no choice but to grab his hand, no trees around, she gives her hand into Armaan's)
Arm - (he pulls her up towards himself to get her up the escalated area. He didn't look back and fell onto his back as Riddhima lost her balance because of this too. They rolled down the other side of the hill, which wasn't too steep. Riddhima felt utterly weird with the weight of Armaan's body on her for an instant. They finally landed on the bottom of the hill, with Armaan on top looking at her deep into her eyes. He had to stop himself from moving a few strands of hair from in front of her face. She looked at him. She quickly took her hands away from him. She felt the butterflies in her stomach, then her cheeks went hot red. He looked away as soon as he noticed the her dupatta was off of her. He saw it a couple of inches away, so he got up and she sat up too. He grabbed it and draped it around her. A moment later, they heard someone running their way. It was one of the village kids. He grabbed Armaan's hand and led him to his house hurriedly. Riddhima was still thinhking about what happened. She followed, but a couple of steps behind. The kid's name was Rohan.
Arm - Hey...kahan leke jaarahe ho?
Roh - Bappu ke paas...tussi doctor ho
Arm - Haan beta, main doctor hoon, kiya hua bappu ko?
Roh - Khaansi...bohot bohot khaansi.
Arm - Chalo! (he saw that the kid couldn't run too well...he was limping, so he carried him and ran, following his instructions of how to get there)
A woman comes to block his way when he tries to enter.
Wom - KOIIIII NAHIN JAYEGA ANDAR! (she screams)
Arm - (hears severe coughing) Ye kaisi baat karraheen hain aap...andar banda itna khaans raha hai, aap please hateeye raaste se.
Wom - Khanstha hai tho khansne do, marta hai THO MARNE DO!
Arm - Raasta dein! Main doctor hoon, aur apna kaam karne aya hoon, hataye!
Wom - VO KISSI KI MADAT KE LAYAK NAHIN HAI!
Arm - (by this time, he was getting mega-angry, the one thing he couldn't stand was when a patient needed treatment and he wasn't able to give it. He thought it was useless to argue, so he ran around the back and got through from the other door. It was quite a dilapited hut. He took the patient's vital signs, gave him his waterbottle to drink water 'may stop the coughing' and as he started paying more attention he knew what the signs were pointing to...Tuberculosis!)

RAHUL AND MUSKAAN
Rah - Oye Muski, tujhe avaaz sunaee di?
Mus - Haan na, chal (tucks her stethoscope in her lab coat)
They arrive inside a hut and see a startling view. A patient was lying there covered in blood. Muskaan freaks at the sight of all that blood and a woman lying there in the puddle of blood. Rahul quickly pulls her hand with him and they head inside.
Rah - Muskaan, give me maximum thickness gauze and a wrapparound. We'll need towels too (he looks towards some of the people standing around in hopes of a towel...but nothing, they all just stand there, few of them with tears). Toliyan chahiye hain, ya koi bhi kapre (he looks at Muskaan)
Mus - Haan, main laathi hoon (she stands up and sees a closet, she opens it and gets whatever towels she finds and whatever clothes she thinks are suitable to wrap around the bleeding woman)
Rah - (in this time, he hooks a portable monitor to her heart, to receive her heartbeats)
Mus - (heading Rahul's way)
Rah - (When Rahul looks up her way with an extended hand for the towels and clothes, his eyes can't believe the horror)
Mus - (she stands there with the towels, next to a man...who is holding a gun to her head)
Man - (with a gun to Muskan's head he looks at Rahul, points to the bleeding woman and says) ISS LADKI KO KOI NAHI HAATH LAGAYEGA VARNA...

ATUL AND ANJALI
The vehicle coming in at full force is too large for the road. Atul and Anjali are on this road and try to run ahead in fear. One wheel of the vehicle slides off and it vears in a circle, Anji has no choice but to run into the other direction. But right then, the vehicle heads into the same direction as her, and with no ground left for her feet, she slips and her foot misses the ground. The rock under her other foot breaks...
Atl - (had slipped off the shallow end but gotten up quickly. He expected Anji to be right behind him but as he looked to his side, he saw it...she slipped off the DEEP end and was hanging off a branch) ANJALIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (he screamed in horror)

SAPNA
Guy - Sir, please, let me deal with them, main araam se explain karta hoon.
Sap - (finally screams out) YE KOI TAREEKA HAI INN LOGON SE BAAT KARNE KA? (She's fuming with anger)
Fat - (gets down from the stage, angry as hell and heads right for...Sapna)
RIDDHIMA AND ARMAAN
Arm - Tuberculosis..fever, productive cough, weakness, sweating, underweight (he keeps on remembering more and more symptoms and lists them out loud. The patient seemed to fit each and every one) Tuberculosis...infectious disease caught by...breathing in the infectious air.
The man lying there, his name is Sunil. He's in a weary state, unable to talk and when he tries, he just coughs.
Arm - (He hears the door open...his first thought 'RIDDHIMA!' he panicks. He does NOT want her here...SHE CAN'T BE HERE AND BREATHE IN THIS AIR) NIKAL JAO YAHAN SE!
Rid - (taken aback) Armaan, sirf main hoon...Riddhima!
Arm - (he grabs a glass he sees on the table, he throws it down on the ground to make her stand away and screams as loud as he could) JUST GET LOST!
Rid - (She sees the patient...and she knew it by just looking at the way he was weak, coughing so much, difficulty breathing...it wasn't uncommon, but she knew exactly what it was)
Arm - (he heard the door close behind him...'she's gone'...he thought. He felt an arm on his shoulder and turned around)

Arm - (moves her hair from in front of her ears and whipers in her ear) Tum ye yellow chudidaar main bohot achi lagrahi ho.
Rid - (felt awkward now and surprised that she felt something nice when he had whispered in her ear, she didn't know what to do)
Armaan sits back on his seat satisfied, with a smile and starts reading a magazine.

Atl - (sits up) Yar, boriat horahi hai
Sap - Haan (looking out the window) abhi hum pohonchne hi vaale hongay

Anj - (covers her ears with a pillow) Sone bhi nahi dete tum log!
Sap - Shaam horahi hai, raat bhi nahi hai, abhi kyun soyen?
Anj - FYI, shayad you don't know, lekin hum logon ko vahan pohonchte hi kitna kaam karna hai, andazaa bhi hai kiya? Doc Keerti ne kaha tha ke purey gaon ko treat karna hai. Tho jitna aaram abhi milsakta hai, vo karlo, right Armaan?
Arm - (yells from a couple of seats in front) What?
Atl - (surprised, stands up, yells accross the bus) Armaan...tu vahan kaise pohonchgaya...aur tu vahan hai, tho phir, main itni der se lori kiss ko suna raha tha? (looks down at the guy sitting in front of him who he had been singing to "chanda mama so gaye, suraj chachoo jagey")
Arm - (turns around amused)
Anj - (sits up finally) Armaan, Ridzi bhi sohrahi hai kiya?
Anjali didn't know that her sister wasn't sleeping. Riddhima couldn't think of sleeping after Armaan had whispered in her ear and she had became red like a tomato. Her heart was racing, and as we all know too well, she's stubborn, tho neend ko bhagane main vo tho expert thi.
Rid - Nahin di, main jaagrahi hoon!
Anj - Tho come sit here, there's a seat next to me.
Rid - (looks at Armaan) umm...main...aati hoon.
Arm - (looks at Riddhima with those eyes...the don't-leave-me eyes and from her hesitation, he could sense that she doesn't want to leave him either) Anji, vo...I think she's feeling kind of bus-sick!
Rid - Kya? (quietly)
Anj - Is everything ok? Main vahan aoon?
Arm - No need...I've got lots of experience with this.
Anj - ok, suit yourself (she was kind of relieved because the one thing she couldn't stand was the smell of vomit, so she dove back under her covers)
Arm - Bull's eye!
(Now it's more like night, so the lights of the bus close...yup...it was a luxury bus)
Rid - (to armaan) tum ne jhoot kyun bola? Main bilkul thik hoon...khamakha mein tum ne di ko pareyshan kar diya!
Arm - Basket...di di di...tum kabhi apney baare main kabhi nahin sochtin?
Rid - Main...of course sochti hoon. Aur abhi mujhe di ke paas jana hai.(looks at him, but not in his eyes...she's not a good liar...she starts getting up)
Arm - (looks at her) Don't go Basket.
Fighting her desire to stay, Riddhima takes her blanket and backpack. She has to go in front of Armaan's seat to get out into the aisle of the bus. Once she's right in front of Armaan, he's sitting down watching her leave with his sad eyes and she's standing up facing him, she attempts to grab the handle on top of her with the hand she's holding her blanket with, but right then, the bus tire goes over a majorly unkept road with lots of holes, and as a result of her not having grabbed anything, she falls forward, bilkul Armaan ki bahon main. As she lets go of the blanket she was holding, it falls right on top of them.
Riddhima and Armaan's lips were inches away from each other's. Her hands were on his chest. Armaan had both arms wrapped around her. They were extremely close. The whole bus was in a rucus.
Ek aur gadda.
Armaan pulls her closer to him by the waist. Inside the airy blanket, it was as if they were completely alone, with no one around them. They were in each other's arms, gazing at each other when Armaan managed to regain conciousness. He pulled the blanket off of them slowly and Riddhima got back up. They were both extremely nervous. She quickly took her blanket, picked up her pillow and headed towards where Anjali was sitting.
Atl - (seeing Riddhima come over, he yells back at Armaan) Armaan, mere bhai, tu vahan akele kya karraha hai, tu bhi aja idhar. Mere paas seat khaali hai.
Arm - (put his hands over his face...'Damn...apney upar control kyun nahi rehta jab uske aas paas hota hun?' and he gets up and heads Atul's way.)
Awhile later, the bus stopped and the doors opened Dr. Keerti stands up to make an important announcement.
Kee - Doctors and interns expecially, can I please have your undivided attention.

Arm - (got jealous looking at Riddhima shaking Rahul's hand) Oook...(he took him by the shoulder) we have a lot of catching up to do dude (and brought him to sit on another seat..just to get him away from Riddhima).
The bus arrives at the village. The camp is set up with tents for doctors and interns. They all get off the bus.
Kee - Alright doctors. Make sure your pagers are on, charged and working. It's extremely important. Idhar ka ilaaka kaheen kaheen mountainous hai. Aap sab ko ek area mileyga. Uss area mein jitne patients hain unn ko treat karna hoga. If interns need any consult from doctors, please call them on your pager. (she posted something near a tent) Here are your assigned areas. You will be working in pairs.
Rah - (as he looked at the posted sheet while standing in the crowd of people) Abey yar...meri kismat phooti hai...
Mus - Hat yaar (pushing people out of the way, her eyes widen looking at it) Teri kismat? MERI kismat phooti hai jo tere saat kaam karna pareyga!
Atl - Anji, our area is A-62.
Anj - Atul, let me just grab my backpack (Anji was kind of glad...she wouldn't have to get to know someone new, it was just Atul)
Sap - Kamni? Who's...(she heard Kamni's name being called so she turned around to look, she was standing surrounded by guy interns)
Arm - Hmmm...Basket, lagta hai ke hum dono ka janam janam ka saath hai.
Rid - (she was glad about the fact that she was with Armaan, but at the same time, didn't want to show it.) Please Armaan...kabhi serious bhi hojaya karo.
Arm - What...I'm serious. (cute dimpled smile)
They all headed their ways. There was a lot of walking to do. The village didn't have wide enough roads for vehicles to travel on.
RAHUL AND MUSKAAN
Mus - UFF!! Lagta hai hamara keema nikaljayega tab hi hamara Area H-16 ayega! (she says wiping some sweat from her forehead)
Rah - keema nahin, kichdi...main non-veg nahin khata.
Mus - Oye, zaada smart baane ki koishish nahin kar, aur vo kya tha, Hello ji, hi ji (imitating Rahul sarcastically and shaking an invisible hand trying to show him how he looked like when he was shaking hands with Sapna and Riddhima)!
Rah - Oye! Zadaa nakal mat utaar! Varna main ye saari baat ghar jaate hi aunti ko batadounga.
Mus - OHHH...Rahul is a tadle-tail!
Rah - Acha! Aur uss din tu ne MERA phone cheenke MERI mom ko kya bolatha (imitating Muskaan in a sarcastic voice) Aunti, Rahul kuch khaata nahin hai...(back to his voice) aur pata nahin kya kya, pata hai, tu tho bol ke duty pe chaleegaee, aur puri raat mujhe ek lambi si lecture sunni padi, ke...Rahul beta, tu kahega nahin tho hatta gatta kaise baneyga aur pata nahin kya kya!
Mus - (laughs) tho sahee tho bola aunti ne! Zindagi ek baar milti hai...mujhe dekh, ye ghee, shakkar, thel, ye sab khaane main ho tho mazaa hai...subha subha do char garam garam parathe nahin kahe, tho lanat hai insaan pe!
Rah - Abey...DO CHAR PARATHE? Pata nahin tera khaya hua kahan jaata hai...tujhe dekkhe tho lagta hai bhooki hai! Baat karti hai! Main ye sab khaane lagoon na, tho phool ke mota hojaaoon.
Mus - (serious) haan yaar...phir tho koi ladki tujhse bhool ke bhi shaadi nahin kareygee...ek tho taddle-tail, upar se khadoos, kam-ak...(counting on her fingers)
Rah - Hogaya?
Mus - Nahin...kam-akal, badshakal...(still counting on her fingers)
Rah - Koi nahin mila tho kiya hua...tu hai na...(he puts his arm around her shoulder)
Mus - Hat! (pushes his arm off and pushes him to the side)
They arrive in their area. They start treating a patient when they hear a noise accross the house where they were treating.

ATUL AND ANJALI
Atl - Ye lo Anji (hands her a bottle of hand cream)
Anj - Atul, what's this?
Atl - Hand cream. Tum jab Ridzi se baat karrahi thi uss din, tho maine suna tha ke latex gloves se tumhe irritation hoti hai, tho, I went out and bought some of this hand cream. It's supposed to help with allergies.
Anj - Atul...(doesn't know what to say...no guy has done something like this for her before) you didn't have to...
Atl - I wanted to Anji.
Anj - (she puts some on and keeps the tube in her lab pocket)
Atl - Tumhe kabhi kissi bhi cheez ki zarurat ho, just let me know ok?
Anj - Thanks Atul...I don't need anything.
Atl - Anjali ek baat puchoon?
Anj - (she's in a good mood) hmm...
Atl - You know Anji...I hope ke tum kissi aur intern ke saath pair up nahin hona chahti thi...
Anj - No Atul (smiles for once) you're just fine.
Atl - Kyunki maine man hi man me dua mangi thi...ke main tumhare saat pair-up hoon.
Anj - (looks at Atul)
Atl - (as he's walking he notices the road is getting thinner, he sees the poster A-62, it was a mountainous area) Lagta hai pohonchgaye.
Anj - (distracted) oh...(looks around the area) MOUNTAINS????
Atl - Haan...I guess...tum bas dekh ke chalna.
As he says this, they see a vehicle...heading their way...full force, high speed!

SAPNA AND KAMNI
They had treated quite a few patients. Actually, only Sapna had treated quite a lot of patients. Kamni was prancing around the interns in the area next to them)
Sap - (shook her head) I can't believe it...kuch log aise bhi hotey hain (to herself as she was heading to the next patient. She hears a commotion and heads to the middle of the centre where many people were gathered. She asks a person in the crowd) Bhaisahab, ye sab kiya hai?
Man - Behenji, yeh log yahan koi cumplecs banana chahrahe hain...aur hamare ghar thodna chahrahe hain.
Sap - (she's stunned) Kya? Aap ka ghar?
Man - Hamara hi nahin, ham sab ka.
Sap - (she heads into the middle of the crowd and sees a young guy around her age in a black suit trying to quiet everyone down).
Guy - Please, aap log humay ek chance dein. Hum sab kuch thik kardeinge.
Sap - (hears voices of the villagers...'Tu kiya sahi kareyga, tum sab log tho yahan hamara ghar thodne aye ho!')
Guy - Nahin, aisa nahin hai, hum aapki madat karne aye hain.
She hears another voice coming from the back. She sees a bald fat man standing on top of a stage-type thing.
Fat - Bass Amit! Bohot ho gayee lallu chappu...ab in saare gavaron se kaho ke apna samaan nikaleyn aur nikal jayen apne gharon se!
RIDDHIMA AND ARMAAN
Rid - (carrying her equipment)
Arm - (also carrying his equipment, they had a bit of climbing to do ahead) Mujhe do Riddhima.
Rid - Kya chahiye?
Arm - Tumhara medical equipment.
Rid - Nahin, it's fine, main apna khud hi carry karsakti hoon.
Arm - mujhpe bharosa nahin hai? (looks at her)
Rid - (nazrein churake) nahin, aisi baath nahin hai, bas...sabko apna sab kuch khud hi carry karna chahiye.
Arm - hmm...yeh baat bhi thik hai. (he takes whatever equipment he had in his hand and puts in into his backpack strapped on his back, then he comes close to Riddhima and bends down...he's about to pick her up)
Rid - (jumps back) ye kiya karrahe ho? (startled)
Arm - Tum hi ne tho kaha tha...
Rid - Maine...maine vo cheezon ke baare main kaha tha.
Arm - Ohhhh..acha (looks at the shy Riddhima with his cute dimpled smile)
They reach an escalated area. Armaan climbs up and extends his hand out to Riddhima.
Rid - (has no choice but to grab his hand, no trees around, she gives her hand into Armaan's)
Arm - (he pulls her up towards himself to get her up the escalated area. He didn't look back and fell onto his back as Riddhima lost her balance because of this too. They rolled down the other side of the hill, which wasn't too steep. Riddhima felt utterly weird with the weight of Armaan's body on her for an instant. They finally landed on the bottom of the hill, with Armaan on top looking at her deep into her eyes. He had to stop himself from moving a few strands of hair from in front of her face. She looked at him. She quickly took her hands away from him. She felt the butterflies in her stomach, then her cheeks went hot red. He looked away as soon as he noticed the her dupatta was off of her. He saw it a couple of inches away, so he got up and she sat up too. He grabbed it and draped it around her. A moment later, they heard someone running their way. It was one of the village kids. He grabbed Armaan's hand and led him to his house hurriedly. Riddhima was still thinhking about what happened. She followed, but a couple of steps behind. The kid's name was Rohan.
Arm - Hey...kahan leke jaarahe ho?
Roh - Bappu ke paas...tussi doctor ho
Arm - Haan beta, main doctor hoon, kiya hua bappu ko?
Roh - Khaansi...bohot bohot khaansi.
Arm - Chalo! (he saw that the kid couldn't run too well...he was limping, so he carried him and ran, following his instructions of how to get there)
A woman comes to block his way when he tries to enter.
Wom - KOIIIII NAHIN JAYEGA ANDAR! (she screams)
Arm - (hears severe coughing) Ye kaisi baat karraheen hain aap...andar banda itna khaans raha hai, aap please hateeye raaste se.
Wom - Khanstha hai tho khansne do, marta hai THO MARNE DO!
Arm - Raasta dein! Main doctor hoon, aur apna kaam karne aya hoon, hataye!
Wom - VO KISSI KI MADAT KE LAYAK NAHIN HAI!
Arm - (by this time, he was getting mega-angry, the one thing he couldn't stand was when a patient needed treatment and he wasn't able to give it. He thought it was useless to argue, so he ran around the back and got through from the other door. It was quite a dilapited hut. He took the patient's vital signs, gave him his waterbottle to drink water 'may stop the coughing' and as he started paying more attention he knew what the signs were pointing to...Tuberculosis!)

RAHUL AND MUSKAAN
Rah - Oye Muski, tujhe avaaz sunaee di?
Mus - Haan na, chal (tucks her stethoscope in her lab coat)
They arrive inside a hut and see a startling view. A patient was lying there covered in blood. Muskaan freaks at the sight of all that blood and a woman lying there in the puddle of blood. Rahul quickly pulls her hand with him and they head inside.
Rah - Muskaan, give me maximum thickness gauze and a wrapparound. We'll need towels too (he looks towards some of the people standing around in hopes of a towel...but nothing, they all just stand there, few of them with tears). Toliyan chahiye hain, ya koi bhi kapre (he looks at Muskaan)
Mus - Haan, main laathi hoon (she stands up and sees a closet, she opens it and gets whatever towels she finds and whatever clothes she thinks are suitable to wrap around the bleeding woman)
Rah - (in this time, he hooks a portable monitor to her heart, to receive her heartbeats)
Mus - (heading Rahul's way)
Rah - (When Rahul looks up her way with an extended hand for the towels and clothes, his eyes can't believe the horror)
Mus - (she stands there with the towels, next to a man...who is holding a gun to her head)
Man - (with a gun to Muskan's head he looks at Rahul, points to the bleeding woman and says) ISS LADKI KO KOI NAHI HAATH LAGAYEGA VARNA...

ATUL AND ANJALI
The vehicle coming in at full force is too large for the road. Atul and Anjali are on this road and try to run ahead in fear. One wheel of the vehicle slides off and it vears in a circle, Anji has no choice but to run into the other direction. But right then, the vehicle heads into the same direction as her, and with no ground left for her feet, she slips and her foot misses the ground. The rock under her other foot breaks...
Atl - (had slipped off the shallow end but gotten up quickly. He expected Anji to be right behind him but as he looked to his side, he saw it...she slipped off the DEEP end and was hanging off a branch) ANJALIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (he screamed in horror)

SAPNA
Guy - Sir, please, let me deal with them, main araam se explain karta hoon.
Sap - (finally screams out) YE KOI TAREEKA HAI INN LOGON SE BAAT KARNE KA? (She's fuming with anger)
Fat - (gets down from the stage, angry as hell and heads right for...Sapna)
RIDDHIMA AND ARMAAN
Arm - Tuberculosis..fever, productive cough, weakness, sweating, underweight (he keeps on remembering more and more symptoms and lists them out loud. The patient seemed to fit each and every one) Tuberculosis...infectious disease caught by...breathing in the infectious air.
The man lying there, his name is Sunil. He's in a weary state, unable to talk and when he tries, he just coughs.
Arm - (He hears the door open...his first thought 'RIDDHIMA!' he panicks. He does NOT want her here...SHE CAN'T BE HERE AND BREATHE IN THIS AIR) NIKAL JAO YAHAN SE!
Rid - (taken aback) Armaan, sirf main hoon...Riddhima!
Arm - (he grabs a glass he sees on the table, he throws it down on the ground to make her stand away and screams as loud as he could) JUST GET LOST!
Rid - (She sees the patient...and she knew it by just looking at the way he was weak, coughing so much, difficulty breathing...it wasn't uncommon, but she knew exactly what it was)
Arm - (he heard the door close behind him...'she's gone'...he thought. He felt an arm on his shoulder and turned around)

A thunder was heard, followed by a hollow wind. The whole terrace and the garden around them was misted and fresh. Water was dripping everywhere and they were both soaking wet. He took her wrist, pulled her close to him, looked into her eyes and said:
Arm - Riddhima. I love you.

Riddhima's breath stopped. She couldn't believe her ears. She never thought she'd hear this from Armaan. She was astounded.
Armaan was still holding her wrist, like he would never ever let go. The rain pitter pattered around them. Armaan's eyes were full of love. Riddhima felt something so deep looking into his eyes that she never felt before for anyone. Her heart wanted to go closer to him. She did what her heart told her to do. She went closer to him, and put the palm of her other hand on his cheek and stroked it once gently. He put his other hand onto hers and half-kissed the palm of her hand and his eyes closed with reassurance on receiving such a response....but then, Riddhima remembered...
...all those times that she'd seen Anjali with a guy close to her. They would tell her they loved her and then break her heart. She would get enraged and then cry and tell Riddhima to NEVER fall in love.
NEVER FALL IN LOVE.
She pulled both her hands free abruptly. When pulling her wrist from his grip, Riddhima ki chudi ka ek ghungroo toot ke girgaya. She took a few steps back. Armaan was left bewildered and trying to figure out what he had done wrong. She turned around. Her trying to get rid of these feelings. Him left confused. She ran past him and inside Sanjeevni. Armaan was about to run after her when he stopped. He was about to step on the ghungroo. He knelt down, picked it up and put it into his pocket quickly. He then ran after her, down the stairs and into the hallway.
Riddhima reached her room and closed the door and locked it. He knocked on it.
Arm - Riddhima (knocking) Darvaza kholo Riddhima! Please, open the door.
Rid - (hesitantly and wondering what she should do. She wanted to open it. But part of her just wouldn't let her...she backed away from the door.)
Arm - (He didn't know what else to do. He was about to knock harder and he stopped upon seeing a patient walking by. It was still night. He didn't want anyone to think anything wrong about Riddhima letting a man in her room at this hour at night. A tear ran down his cheek that he didn't notice because he was still dripping wet. His hand lowered and he put his back to the wall near his door. He sat down slowly and pulled out the ghungru from his pocket.)
Rid - (She sat on her bed and pulled back her hair. 'Yeh sab kiya horaha hai? Armaan mujhse pyaar...nahin, aisa nahin hosakta...aur agar main usko pyaar nahin karti, tho mujhe itni fikr kyun horahi hai? Kya main ussey pyaar karti hoon? Kya vo bhi? Itne din usne mera khayal rakha..vo sab yun hi tha? Kya vo bhi unn larkon ki tarhan mera dil akhir main tod dega?' she thought. She walked to the bathroom and looked herself in the mirror. She looked at the palm of her hand where he had kissed her. She remembered all her moments with him.)
FLASHBACKS****************************
The med-exams, how he had worked with her, how he had gotten close to her to get her to eat something.
How he had always joked around with her and made her laugh.
Their moments in the basketball court.
Their ride on Armaan's "baby"...
Little things like how he kissed her finger.
How he was so good with kids.
And most of all...
How he cared for her, especially in the past few days.

Rid - (hears a knock. She had fallen asleep. She got up from her bed and opened the door)
Anj - Ridzi! Itni der se tumhare door pe knock karrahi thi! Kahan thi?
Rid - Di...vo..
Anj - (seeing her hair slightly wet, she takes her hair in her hand) ye tumhare baal geelay kyun hain? Aur tumhari ankhein, itni sooji hui hain...are you ok?
Rid - Haan di, vo bass main (nervous)...I was working on Radhaa's case. Thodi der hogaee raat ko.
Anj - (entered the room and closed the door behind her) Tujhe kiya hogaya hai Ridzi? Papa ko pata chalgaya aur tumko aisay dekh liya, tho vo itna BARA fuss kardeinge. You know how Papa is with his laadli daughter.
Rid - ('Oh no' she thought) Nahin nahin di...please Papa ko nahin batana! Please!
Anj - Pata hai, pata hai...tumhe unki lecture nahin sunni...I can do at least that much for my little sis. Acha suno...(keeps talking)
Rid - (head feels really heavy. She looks towards the door and gets lost in the thoughts of what happened the night before...she was half-expecting Armaan to walk in...'lekin vo kyun ayega...maine jo kya hai uske baad' she was sadenned)
Anj - RIDZI!
Rid - (comes out of her thoughts) haan di...
Anj - What's happened? Kahan kho gaee thi?
Rid - Main sun rahi hoon di...
Anj - Oh acha (puts her hands on her hips) tho abhi abhi maine kiya bola?
Rid - umm...
Anj - agar koi problem hai tho...I mean if you don't want me here..then...
Rid - (she doesn't want her to get disheartened, so she turns to her) I'm sorry Di...ab batao, I'm all ears.
Anj - Main kehrahi thi ke Dr. Keerti ne decide kiya hai ke hum Panchgani jaane vaale hain. Udhar ek gaaon hai aur udhar doctors ki zarurat hai.
Rid - Acha? That's great!!!
Anj - (not too excited-sounding) What do you mean great? We're gonna be leaving a busy Sanjeevni jahan har waqt koi na koi extremely interesting surgery hoti rehti hai and all these cool cases, and kis liye? To treat kids who have a cold and give them injections? Seriously Ridz?
Rid - Haan di...vahan bachey hongay jinko hamari bohot zarurat hogi. Aur socho ke kitna khush hongay vo, and how much we're going to impact their health!
Anj - (rolls her eyes) I'm never going to understand you.
Riddhima got discharged. She was all better now. Anjali and her were informed that their Papa was gone on an out-of-town trip for an important meeting. He had been delaying it because he did not want to leave Riddhima, but before leaving he made 100% sure that she was alright. He even left a care package for her and a letter telling her to becareful and that he'd be back soon.
Riddhima couldn't see Armaan anywhere.
DUTY STATION
Atl - (walks to the duty counter singing) Tunak tunak tun tunak tunak tun tunak tunak tun tanana..(sees Riddhima) HEY!! Ridz, tum yahan?
Rid - (Checking her duties at the duty station, she looks at Atul) Hey Atul!
Atl - It's so nice to see you back! (high fives her)
Rid - Thanks! Uss kamrey se nikal ke itna acha lagraha hai.
Atl - (opens a binder, writes his data in) Ridz, tum ne vo news suni?
Rid - vo Panchgani vaali?
Atl - Maine tho apne bags abhi se pack karliye!
Rid - Atul? Kya?...Di tho batarahi thi ke Dr. Keerti ne aaj hi bataya hai.
Atl - Arey, samjhakaro, vo...mere tho bass 1 labcoat, and 2 pairs of clothes...hum larkon ki yehi tho baatein hain.
Rid - (smiles...she hadn't smiled that much today...because she kept thinking about what she had done to Armaan)
Atl - Acha Ridz, tum ne Anji ko dekha hai?
Rid - Di abhi locker room main hai...koi khaas baat?
Atl - Nahin bas, main Anji ke liye kuch laya hoon (holds up a beautiful flower)...let me go check in the locker room
Rid - Suno Atul...tum ne (she decided she'd ask)...Armaan ko kahin dekha?
Atl - Nahin, sorry Ridz (he says running to the locker room...he turns back) Actually, try the Emergency ward...uski aaj duty vahan hai.

EMERGENCY WARD
Sapna is fixing up a patient's gash wound. She's just about done when Riddhima enters.
Sap - Riddhima! Welcome back!
Rid - Thanks Sapna.
Sap - (Sapna takes her gloves off and tells Riddhima to take a look at the patient's wound, she then brings her to the side) Riddhima, ek jagged laceration that injured some tendons and muscles.
Rid - Hmm...Tho you applied some antibacterial disinfectant...
Sap - Haan, aur maine stitch kardia, but I'm not sure if I should give him painkillers.
Rid - Agar he's had allergic reactions, tho nahin do.
Sap - That's what I thought. I just needed confirmation.
Rid - No problem!
Sap - Chalo, tum ne tho meri itni help kardi, ab tum batao, tumhari kiya help karoon?
Rid - (smiles again at Sapna, she loved her friends for making her feel so good...she then remembered Armaan again...his thought just wouldn't leave her mind) Actually Sapna, tumne Armaan ko dekha hai?
Sap - (thinks) nahin abhi tho nahin, he was here awhile ago, lekin abhi thodi der pehle kahin chalagaya.
Rid - Oh.
Sap - Ussay koi zaruri kaam hai?
Rid - Haan...actually vo...umm...case, Raadha ka case, uss ke liye kuch baat karni thi usssey (she didn't want to lie, but she couldn't tell her).
Sap - Oh I see...agar vo nazar aya, tho I'll definitely let him know.
Riddhima thanked Sapna and went out of the Emergency ward. Who else could she ask?
CHILDREN'S WARD
Kids were running around. Everyone was restless. They couldn't control them. Minnie was sitting on her bed reading a magazine. Other doctors were trying to calm them down.
Kid1- Humey davaai nahin khaani!
Kid2- Humey force nahin karsakte!!
Doc1- Dekho bache, abhi tum achi tarha se davaai khao, aur hum lollipop dengay tumhe.
All kids in unison - NO NO NO NO NO!!
Riddhima walks in. Minnie looks up at her.
Rid - (comes and sits on Minnie's bed)
Min - Dr. Riddhima, aap yahan?
Rid - Kyun? Main nahin aasakti kya?
Min - nahin nahin, maine tho bass ye socha ke...
Rid - Kya socha?
Min - Chodo. Vaise boyfriend ko kya hua?
Rid - (her heart skipped a beat....had something happened to Armaan?) Kya hua Armaan ko?
Min - (she knew it...Riddhima liked Armaan too, that's why she jumped up so suddenly...'I'm such a smart cookie' she thought) Nahin nahin...kuch nahin...
Rid - (still worried) tum ne uss ko dekha kahin?
Min - Thodi der pehle aya tha..lekin pata nahin kyun, aaj hamari chocolates bhi nahin yaad rahin ussey aur chehra kuch utra utra sa lagraha tha.
Rid - (she knew why...she was guilty of it. She reached in her pockets and pulled out the few lollipops she kept for some child patients) Ye lo.
Min - (her eyes lit up) Lollipops!!
Rid - Ab chalo, apney saarey chehlon se kaho ke ye sab shaitani chodein, aur chup chap araam se davaai kahein. (she said to Minnie smiling)
Minnie signalled all the kids over to her bed, and they divided up the candy and ate their medicine making a face.
Riddhima headed out of the children's ward. 'Armaan...tum kahan ho'.
She runs into Dr. Keerti in the hallway.
Kee - Dr. Riddhima, acha hua aap yahan mill gayeen. Aap se Panchgani ki Sanjeevni visit ke baare me batana tha.
Rid - Doctor Keerti, actually Di ne...mera matlab Dr. Anjali ne mujhe bataya tha.
Kee - Alright great, tho hum kal nikal rahe hain.
Rid - Sure mam...ummm...Dr. Keerti, aap ne Armaan ko kahin dekha?
Kee - Dr. Armaan tho half-day leke gaye hain. Kuch patients the jinko zaruri attend karna tha, aur phir vo chaleygaye. Koi kaam tha Dr. Riddhima?
Rid - No mam, main bus...vo Raadha ka...

ARMAAN'S HOUSE
Armaan arrives at his house, opens his door and goes to his balcony. He could see the sunset from there. It always made him realize that the day had ended and a new one was going to begin.
Arm - New day, new beginning (he said putting his hands on the railing of his balcony.)
He was still hurt from the fact that Riddhima had responded like this. But this was Armaan Malik, and this was the first time Armaan Malik had ever loved, so no way was he ever going to give up.
Arm - (he smiled at one thought that had stuck with him the whole way through...when he told Riddhima he loved her, he was sure he saw that same love in her eyes. Riddhima secretly kept little toys from her childhood as well as a few chocolates and candies for the kids, without Anji knowing.
She was just about to go to bed when she went to close the window. The sun had set. The wind blew making her lost in her thoughts.
Rid - (thinks 'Aaj puray din Armaan ko nahin dikha. Half day lekar chalagaya. Maine usko kitna hurt kiya hoga, lekin main usse pyaar kese kar sakti hoon? Vo itna alag hai mujhse, aur vese bhi, uss ne aaj tak kitni larkiyon ko I love you kaha hoga. Lekin uski dost hone ke naatey, mujhe ussay sorry kehna chahiye. SANJEEVNI LOCKER ROOM
Everyone was there talking and organizing their things.
Atl - Oye Ridz...ye chocolates aur toys...(when he sees some things fall out of her suitcase)
Rid - Shhh....di ko pata nahin chalna chahiye.

Sap - Anjali...ye file (diverting her attention)
Rid - (signals a thanks to Sapna)
Armaan walks in.
Arm - Hey guys!
Atl - Armaan, hum briefing ke liye jaane wale hain.

Armaan and Riddhima are left alone. Riddhima has her face in her locker and doesn't know how to say sorry to Armaan. 'Kahan se shuroo karoon?' she thought 'vo mujhse baat bhi karega ya nahin...kaise kahoon'.
As she's thinking this, some wrapped sandwiches appear before her. Armaan is holding them out. She was surprised to see him acting so normal.
Rid - Armaan, iss ki zarurat nahin hai...ab mein bilkul thik hoon
Arm - Haan haan...jaanta hoon....Kiya karoon aadat si parh gayi hai.
Rid - Armaan, jo sab hua tha..vo uss ke liye...I'm...I'm sorry.

Rid - Kiya? (she looks at him, kind of surprised, and walks away.'As always, full of himself!' she thinks)
Arm - (watches her go) Sirf dosti, aur vo bhi tumse? Nuh huh Basket, impossible. (naughty grin)

Atl - Arey ye Armaan kahan rehjaata hai?
Arm - Kissi ne bulaya SUPARMAAN ko?
Atl - Arrey va yaar! (he pulls out a spoon from his inside coat pocket) Kahan hai soup?
Arm - Soup?
Atl - Abhi tu ne kaha na, Soup Armaan.
Arm - Champ, tu bhi na, aur ye chamcha kahan se aya?
Atl - Tu dekhegana, tho pagal hojaye ga. (opens his coat up) Ye dekh (he sees the inside of his coat has a spoon, a fork, a butter knife, some talcum powder, and all the necessary utilities they could think of)
Arm - Vaaqi main Champ...(sarcastically, restraining himslef from laughing) fantastic! Laga reh! (pats his back)
Arm - (looks around...no Riddhima)
Rid - (walks in right at that moment. Jaise Armaan ne yun yaad kia aur uss ke yaad karte hi, vo aagyee. She had changed into a light yellow chudidar and she looked as lovely as ever.)
Arm - (sitting down, he stopped to stare at her for a bit)
Rid - (She lifted her luggage over her head to put it in the compartment of the bus, obviously her being so delicate, she was having a bit of difficulty getting it in)
Arm - (without asking, he gets up and while everyone else is busy in their own thing, he gives Riddhima a hand by giving her luggage a push, standing behind her)
Rid - Thanks.
Kee - settle down everyone.
Dr. Keerti sits at the front of the bus with all the other senior doctors. While all the interns sit at the back. Riddhima is sitting on the windowside and Armaan in another seat by the window. Another intern comes to sit beside him. She's wearing a short skirt and her name is Kamni.
Kam - Hi, can I sit here?
Arm - Umm..vo vahan aur bhi seats khaali hain, you don't want a seat by the window?
Kam - No...It's alright, so can I?
Arm - (before he says anything, she sits down. She's blocking Armaan's view of Riddhima...'Isko bhi aur kahin jaga nahin mili!' he starts looking out the window).
The bus starts going.
Along the way, everyone was quite tired so they all started falling asleep. Armaan feels a hand on his lap. He looks beside him and he sees Kamni smiling at him in a flirty way.
Arm - Ah!
Kam - Kya hua?
Arm - Main vo umm...('wow' he thinks 'if any girl did this to me before, it would seem completely normal lekin ab tho, bohot hi ajeeb lagta hai!') Mujhe actually...I need to stand up, pair sun horaha hai.
Kam - Oh, ok.
Arm - (he gets up closes an open button of his shirt and goes to sit beside Riddhima.)
Rid - (she had her head against the window and her eyes were closed, feeling the wind in her hair.)
Arm - (puts his hand on hers)
Rid - (her eyes open) Armaan ye kiya karrahe ho?
Arm - Kya?
Rid - Maine kaha tha na ke..
Arm - Main tumhari har dafa help karta hoon...ab tumne hi kaha tha ke tum aur main, hum dost hain, ab dost hone ke naate, tumhara farz banta hai ke tum meri thodi tho help karo right?
Rid - Tum please...
Arm - Udhar dekhrahi ho? Meri seat ke paas...vo ladki bohot chipku hai..
Rid - (looks over at Kamni) Tho main kiya karoon?
Arm - (puts his other hand on her hand and pulls her hand near his heart) Ab uski taraf nahin dekhna, tum bass smile karo. Smile...
Rid - (smiles forcingly)
Arm - (Kamni is looking at Armaan, he smiles at her and takes Riddhima's hand and kisses it lightly. Riddhima is surprised at this and starts to take her hand away when he looks at her with his intense eyes and she shys away. Kamni looks away pissed off. Now if Armaan wanted, he could have left Riddhima's hand, but he didn't. He interlocked her fingers with his and started playing with her fingers)
Rid - (looked over at him and couldn't help smiling to herself. 'Jab aise gum sum rehta hai...tho it's kind of cute....lekin nahin, hum bas dost hain, just friends' she kept repeating the last part as if to memorize it. Her eyes fall on Kamni. 'Ab ye tho nahin dekhrahi' she takes her hand away)
Arm - Basket...ek baat kahoon?
Rid - Thoda halke bolo varna...
Arm - Ohh...(raises his eyebrows)...tum chahti ho ke main thoda halke boloon, whisper karoon?
Rid - Haan.
Arm - (moves her hair from in front of her ears and whipers in her ear) Tum ye yellow chudidaar main bohot achi lagrahi ho.
Rid - (felt awkward now and surprised that she felt something nice when he had whispered in her ear, she didn't know what to do)
Armaan sits back on his seat satisfied, with a smile and starts reading a magazine.
A thunder was heard, followed by a hollow wind. The whole terrace and the garden around them was misted and fresh. Water was dripping everywhere and they were both soaking wet. He took her wrist, pulled her close to him, looked into her eyes and said:
Arm - Riddhima. I love you.

Riddhima's breath stopped. She couldn't believe her ears. She never thought she'd hear this from Armaan. She was astounded.
Armaan was still holding her wrist, like he would never ever let go. The rain pitter pattered around them. Armaan's eyes were full of love. Riddhima felt something so deep looking into his eyes that she never felt before for anyone. Her heart wanted to go closer to him. She did what her heart told her to do. She went closer to him, and put the palm of her other hand on his cheek and stroked it once gently. He put his other hand onto hers and half-kissed the palm of her hand and his eyes closed with reassurance on receiving such a response....but then, Riddhima remembered...
...all those times that she'd seen Anjali with a guy close to her. They would tell her they loved her and then break her heart. She would get enraged and then cry and tell Riddhima to NEVER fall in love.
NEVER FALL IN LOVE.
She pulled both her hands free abruptly. When pulling her wrist from his grip, Riddhima ki chudi ka ek ghungroo toot ke girgaya. She took a few steps back. Armaan was left bewildered and trying to figure out what he had done wrong. She turned around. Her trying to get rid of these feelings. Him left confused. She ran past him and inside Sanjeevni. Armaan was about to run after her when he stopped. He was about to step on the ghungroo. He knelt down, picked it up and put it into his pocket quickly. He then ran after her, down the stairs and into the hallway.
Riddhima reached her room and closed the door and locked it. He knocked on it.
Arm - Riddhima (knocking) Darvaza kholo Riddhima! Please, open the door.
Rid - (hesitantly and wondering what she should do. She wanted to open it. But part of her just wouldn't let her...she backed away from the door.)
Arm - (He didn't know what else to do. He was about to knock harder and he stopped upon seeing a patient walking by. It was still night. He didn't want anyone to think anything wrong about Riddhima letting a man in her room at this hour at night. A tear ran down his cheek that he didn't notice because he was still dripping wet. His hand lowered and he put his back to the wall near his door. He sat down slowly and pulled out the ghungru from his pocket.)
Rid - (She sat on her bed and pulled back her hair. 'Yeh sab kiya horaha hai? Armaan mujhse pyaar...nahin, aisa nahin hosakta...aur agar main usko pyaar nahin karti, tho mujhe itni fikr kyun horahi hai? Kya main ussey pyaar karti hoon? Kya vo bhi? Itne din usne mera khayal rakha..vo sab yun hi tha? Kya vo bhi unn larkon ki tarhan mera dil akhir main tod dega?' she thought. She walked to the bathroom and looked herself in the mirror. She looked at the palm of her hand where he had kissed her. She remembered all her moments with him.)

How he had always joked around with her and made her laugh.

Anj - (entered the room and closed the door behind her) Tujhe kiya hogaya hai Ridzi? Papa ko pata chalgaya aur tumko aisay dekh liya, tho vo itna BARA fuss kardeinge. You know how Papa is with his laadli daughter.

Anj - Main kehrahi thi ke Dr. Keerti ne decide kiya hai ke hum Panchgani jaane vaale hain. Udhar ek gaaon hai aur udhar doctors ki zarurat hai.
Rid - Acha? That's great!!!
Anj - (not too excited-sounding) What do you mean great? We're gonna be leaving a busy Sanjeevni jahan har waqt koi na koi extremely interesting surgery hoti rehti hai and all these cool cases, and kis liye? To treat kids who have a cold and give them injections? Seriously Ridz?

Riddhima got discharged. She was all better now. Anjali and her were informed that their Papa was gone on an out-of-town trip for an important meeting. He had been delaying it because he did not want to leave Riddhima, but before leaving he made 100% sure that she was alright. He even left a care package for her and a letter telling her to becareful and that he'd be back soon.
Riddhima couldn't see Armaan anywhere.

Atl - Arey, samjhakaro, vo...mere tho bass 1 labcoat, and 2 pairs of clothes...hum larkon ki yehi tho baatein hain.
Rid - (smiles...she hadn't smiled that much today...because she kept thinking about what she had done to Armaan)

Sapna is fixing up a patient's gash wound. She's just about done when Riddhima enters.
Sap - Riddhima! Welcome back!
Rid - Thanks Sapna.
Sap - (Sapna takes her gloves off and tells Riddhima to take a look at the patient's wound, she then brings her to the side) Riddhima, ek jagged laceration that injured some tendons and muscles.
Rid - Hmm...Tho you applied some antibacterial disinfectant...
Sap - Haan, aur maine stitch kardia, but I'm not sure if I should give him painkillers.
Rid - Agar he's had allergic reactions, tho nahin do.
Sap - That's what I thought. I just needed confirmation.
Rid - No problem!
Sap - Chalo, tum ne tho meri itni help kardi, ab tum batao, tumhari kiya help karoon?
Rid - (smiles again at Sapna, she loved her friends for making her feel so good...she then remembered Armaan again...his thought just wouldn't leave her mind) Actually Sapna, tumne Armaan ko dekha hai?

Minnie signalled all the kids over to her bed, and they divided up the candy and ate their medicine making a face.

Atl - Tu dekhegana, tho pagal hojaye ga. (opens his coat up) Ye dekh (he sees the inside of his coat has a spoon, a fork, a butter knife, some talcum powder, and all the necessary utilities they could think of)
Arm - Vaaqi main Champ...(sarcastically, restraining himslef from laughing) fantastic! Laga reh! (pats his back)
Arm - (looks around...no Riddhima)
Rid - (walks in right at that moment. Jaise Armaan ne yun yaad kia aur uss ke yaad karte hi, vo aagyee. She had changed into a light yellow chudidar and she looked as lovely as ever.)
Arm - (sitting down, he stopped to stare at her for a bit)
Rid - (She lifted her luggage over her head to put it in the compartment of the bus, obviously her being so delicate, she was having a bit of difficulty getting it in)
Arm - (without asking, he gets up and while everyone else is busy in their own thing, he gives Riddhima a hand by giving her luggage a push, standing behind her)
Rid - Thanks.
Kee - settle down everyone.
Dr. Keerti sits at the front of the bus with all the other senior doctors. While all the interns sit at the back. Riddhima is sitting on the windowside and Armaan in another seat by the window. Another intern comes to sit beside him. She's wearing a short skirt and her name is Kamni.
Kam - Hi, can I sit here?
Arm - Umm..vo vahan aur bhi seats khaali hain, you don't want a seat by the window?
Kam - No...It's alright, so can I?
Arm - (before he says anything, she sits down. She's blocking Armaan's view of Riddhima...'Isko bhi aur kahin jaga nahin mili!' he starts looking out the window).
The bus starts going.
Along the way, everyone was quite tired so they all started falling asleep. Armaan feels a hand on his lap. He looks beside him and he sees Kamni smiling at him in a flirty way.
Arm - Ah!
Kam - Kya hua?
Arm - Main vo umm...('wow' he thinks 'if any girl did this to me before, it would seem completely normal lekin ab tho, bohot hi ajeeb lagta hai!') Mujhe actually...I need to stand up, pair sun horaha hai.
Kam - Oh, ok.
Arm - (he gets up closes an open button of his shirt and goes to sit beside Riddhima.)
Rid - (she had her head against the window and her eyes were closed, feeling the wind in her hair.)
Arm - (puts his hand on hers)
Rid - (her eyes open) Armaan ye kiya karrahe ho?
Arm - Kya?
Rid - Maine kaha tha na ke..
Arm - Main tumhari har dafa help karta hoon...ab tumne hi kaha tha ke tum aur main, hum dost hain, ab dost hone ke naate, tumhara farz banta hai ke tum meri thodi tho help karo right?
Rid - Tum please...
Arm - Udhar dekhrahi ho? Meri seat ke paas...vo ladki bohot chipku hai..
Rid - (looks over at Kamni) Tho main kiya karoon?
Arm - (puts his other hand on her hand and pulls her hand near his heart) Ab uski taraf nahin dekhna, tum bass smile karo. Smile...
Rid - (smiles forcingly)
Arm - (Kamni is looking at Armaan, he smiles at her and takes Riddhima's hand and kisses it lightly. Riddhima is surprised at this and starts to take her hand away when he looks at her with his intense eyes and she shys away. Kamni looks away pissed off. Now if Armaan wanted, he could have left Riddhima's hand, but he didn't. He interlocked her fingers with his and started playing with her fingers)
Rid - (looked over at him and couldn't help smiling to herself. 'Jab aise gum sum rehta hai...tho it's kind of cute....lekin nahin, hum bas dost hain, just friends' she kept repeating the last part as if to memorize it. Her eyes fall on Kamni. 'Ab ye tho nahin dekhrahi' she takes her hand away)
Arm - Basket...ek baat kahoon?
Rid - Thoda halke bolo varna...
Arm - Ohh...(raises his eyebrows)...tum chahti ho ke main thoda halke boloon, whisper karoon?
Rid - Haan.
Arm - (moves her hair from in front of her ears and whipers in her ear) Tum ye yellow chudidaar main bohot achi lagrahi ho.
Rid - (felt awkward now and surprised that she felt something nice when he had whispered in her ear, she didn't know what to do)
Armaan sits back on his seat satisfied, with a smile and starts reading a magazine.

Rid - (walked in, the library was dark. It was night. She couldn't find the switch. She had a few things in her hands. 'Yeh Armaan kahan rehgaya.' She agreed to come here because it was the only time that Shashank was off duty and at the house. Anjali, Naani and Shashank all stayed with Riddhima both nights at the hospital, but tonight, Anjali had to be on duty, and Riddhima insisted that Naani and Shashank take some rest, otherwise vo bhook hartal kardegi. Finally, she got some time...to work on Raadha's case.)
It had been only two days since the fire incident. Riddhima was feeling much better and the doctor had said that she is completely out of danger now. In these two days the hospital was busy as usual. Shashank had forbidden Riddhima to work. She knew very well that he said this out of love, just like Anjali had brought her hospital food everyday out of love...and Riddhima didn't dare to say no to her, she didn't want to hurt her feelings. After Anjali gave Riddhima the food and left the room, Armaan would sneak in and bring her cafeteria food or...his special andey vaala sandwich. Then Atul would come and take the bland patient food away quietly, and Sapna would usually come give her updates on current patients, new patients, and interesting cases. They had a whole system going.
Dr. Keerti had given Armaan and Riddhima the go signal on preparing the presentation for patient Radhaa's heart transplant. Lekin Riddhima apne patient ko beech raaste main kaise chod sakti thi? So she decided to work on it without her Papa knowing. They needed the finishing touches on the presentation.
Rid - (She saw a bit of light) Kaun hai? (she whispered calmly as she approached the light...she couldn't see anything beyond her own hands it was so dark...she kept walking towards the light and put her things down, and upon reaching the source of light, she almost slipped back on a book that was lying on the floor...)
Arm - (...caught her right in time. With one hand he held her hand and put her arm over his shoulder and with his other hand he held her slender waist. She had closed her eyes so tight. The light of the lantern shone on her face. He studied every inch of it. Her extremely curled and fluttery eyelashes, her cute little nose, her rosy cheeks and her beautiful lips that looked all that much more beautiful in this light. Her scent was intoxicatingly amazing.)
Rid - (opens her eyes. Riddhima took a breath in sync with Armaan. She saw him in the same light that he saw her, in lantern light. Everything beyond him was dark.)
Arm - Riddhima (he said with all the feeling in the world) mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai.
Rid - Armaan...
(She finally blinked and noticed how close they were. She removed her arm from around his shoulder and was full on embarassed she had let this happen, he let go of her waist hesitantly. She stood back up on her feet and carefully made her way to the lantern. She carried it to the light switch and switched the light on, the light was dim).
Arm - (Picked up the things she had brought and put them down on a nearby table. He looked at Riddhima and pulled out a chair.)
Rid - (came and sat down, she put the lantern down onto the table) (trying to change the mood) lagta hai ke light weak hai...
Arm - haan (he said looking at her, still living in the moment smoothly ruffling his hair where Riddhima had touched it).
Rid - (pulled out her things, trying really hard to cover all the chemistry between them. She tried to find her pen, searching her bag.)
Arm - (He held her pen in front of her, he had found it on the ground.)
Rid - Thanks (held the pen to take it)
Arm - (he held it and she held it, so he knew he had all her attention) Riddhima mujhe tum se kuch bohot zaruri kehna hai. Riddhima I...
Rid - (interrupts him) Yeh (pulls up the laptop and brings up a file on it) tum ne file computer lab vaale computer se apne email pe bheja tha?
Arm - (wants to tell her so badly, but decides that he needs her full and undivided attention for it, so first he had to solve this case's presentation with her) Nahin...main abhi karke aata hoon, I'll be right back.
Rid - Thik hai.
Armaan grabs his keys and heads to the computer lab. He gets there, opens the computer and emails the document. He heads back to the library.
Arm - Abhi check karo, phohonchgaya hoga.
Rid - (sitting on the chair, she presses a few buttons on the laptop) Nahin...you sure ke you emailed it?
Arm - Haan, I'm sure, let me check. (He stands behind her seat and bends down to the level of the laptop screen. His chest was touching her back. His arms surrounding her chair, and his fingers busy typing on the keyboard. She shrunk to the middle of her chair, concious of his touch. His face was next to hers. He was looking on the screen and clicking around and typing. She looked next to her at him).
Rid - (thinks 'Ye mujhe kya horaha hai?' 'Armaan...tum mujhse kya kehna chahte ho?' she thought...'main tumhare aas paas hoti hoon tho ghabra kyun jaati hoon?')
Arm - (his eyes fall on her) (lovingly gazing at her, he asks) Tumne kuch kaha Basket? (he could hear the beats of her heart, and he was sure he heard a question).
Rid - (quickly looking away) Nahin...she tried to get off from her seat. His arms were on both sides of the chair since his hands were resting on the laptop's keyboard. So she stood up, tried to reach accross the table and couldn't get the book she needed and she landed back down on the chair with a light thud.)
Arm - (Armaan was watching her. She looked at him, embarassed of her defeat)
Rid - Vo...umm...thodi si jaaga chahiye...I need to get out of this seat.
Arm - (put his finger to his lips) Ssshhh!
Rid - Armaan vo book...
Arm - (Her arms were on the armrest now. He turned her seat around holding the back of the chair. He was at eye level with her. The chair had wheels and turned smoothly. Riddhima was face to face with Armaan once again. He put his hands on hers and started pushing the chair back gently. He went around the table and stopped pushing the chair when they reached the other side of the table) Station aagaya madam (he said smiling) Aur koi hukm?
Rid - (blushed) Umm...nahin (he was still holding her hands down with his. She looked down at their hands on top of each other. He did the same, with his naughty smile)
Arm - Kya hua Riddhima, koi problem? (he said innocently, even though he knew what was going through her mind)
Rid - Haan (but she didn't want him to think that HE was the problem)...nahin...(confused)
Arm - Saaf saaf bolo Riddhima. Koi...problem?
Rid - Mujhe jaane do Armaan. Mera haath chodo. (she said quietly)
Arm - (He let go of one hand) Lo chod diya.
Rid - Armaan, dusra bhi.
Arm - mmm hmm (shaking his head in a no) tum ne sirf "Mera haath" kahata.
Rid - (She couldn't do this anymore. She was extremely concious around Armaan and when Armaan did things like this, she got even more concious. She got up suddenly, releasing her other hand).
Armaan had anticipated this. He stood up straight and put his hands in his pocket. She had gotten up grabbed the book and gone to sit on the other seat. She opened the book and turned to a specific page. She started taking notes. He could sense the heat. He turned on the fan. Armaan sat on the seat accross from her. With her as an inspiration, he didn't need anything else, not any thoughts besides hers because she brang out the best in him, not the music from his mp3...because the music came all on its own...

She was busy flipping through the pages, working intently taking notes. The wind from the fan blew her hair. He got to work but kept looking up at her every once in awhile.

She kept him going this late in the hour. After an hour of intense work, he got up and went to the kitchen and got some coffee. He poured it into two mugs. It was 2 am now. When he came back, he found Riddhima still busy at work, lekin apni neend se bhari ankhein kabhi kabhi 2 second ke liye band karti, phir kholti. He went to her, knelt down on one knee and gave her the steamy cup of coffee. As soon as she took it, she pulled back away from him.

Riddhima ko neend ka nasha tha, she raised her eyes that felt so heavy. She just wanted to go to sleep right then and there. She held the cup with both hands and drank a sip of the warm coffee he had brought her. Armaan smiled at her struggle to stay awake. There's something about her.

He took her hand and led her to the open garden and terrace on the roof of Sanjeevni. The air was fresh and there was a light mist. She had never seen this place before. He looked at her and she could see her image in his eyes that spoke to her.

A few moments of gazing, she felt a drop of water land on her cheek. Armaan felt a few more. Before they both knew it, it started raining. He took off his labcoat and put it over their heads and signalled Riddhima to come back inside. Riddhima had felt so trapped in that hospital room where no one would let her get out because they thought she was weak. They didn't know that this was exactly what she needed. Her eyes didn't feel heavy anymore, she looved this weather. Riddhima hadn't been out in the rain in forever. She laughed at Armaan's idea to stay away from the rain 'Itna acha weather? As if!'. She completely forgot about him, and ran out onto the open terrace. Armaan thought 'Aaj tho main tumhe bataake hi rahounga!'

She held out her hands to the sky. He was dripping from in no time. He laughed out loud and stroked his hair back. She was standing near a water-fountain. He went near her and she turned around and splashed his shirt. He looked down at his shirt and started laughing and she laughed out loud herself. Armaan had never seen her laugh so freely with him like this. He felt like he owned the world. He splashed her back and she held her hands out in front of her face playfully.
