Part 8: Jab Dil Miley

Arm - (They reach Dr. Shashank's office. Armaan quickly runs a hand through his hair and buttons his lab coat to the top. Riddhima stares at him curiously 'itna nervous horaha hai buddu kahin ka') Main kaisa lag raha hoon?
Rid - Itne nervous mat ho, you look fine.
Arm - (stops fiddling)Oye hoye...so now I look fine? (nudges her shoulder with his) Admit it, you missed me!
Rid - Uff Armaan!! Tum kabhi nahin sudrogay!
Arm - from the exam day to today...tumhara har pal mere baghair kat nahin raha tha...right?
Rid - In your dreams!
Arm - Dekhlena, aik din, jo aaj mujhe pata hai, vo tumhe bhi pata lag jahega (stares in her eyes)
Rid - (catches his glance. She can't help but stare into his deep blue eyes) kiya?
Arm - yehi..
Rid - kiya?
Arm - yehi...ke hum abhi andar nahin gaye, to hamara sanjeevani mein pehla din hamara akhri din hoga!
Rid - (hits him hard on the shoulder)
Arm - OUCH!
Rid - you deserve that
Arm - (jokingly acting like he's in pain) Riddhima...I think I've got a bruise. Haat itnay nazuk hain aur lagte itne zor se hain!
Rid - Ab chalo bhi!
(They enter Dr. Shashank's office. He was on the phone)
Sha - Dr. Armaan, Dr. Riddhima, just one moment.
Arm - sure
Sha - (on the phone) Mr. Deshmuk, I will call you later. Thank you.
Rid - Apnay hume bulaya?
Sha - Haan betay...
Arm - (confused)
Sha - (realizes his mistake. He's so used to calling Riddhima betay out of love that he doesn't notice usually, but now, he knows he needs to watch it)I mean betheeay. Sit.
Arm - (confusion settled) oh thank you sir.
Sha - (to Arm and Rid) tho, according to my understanding, patient raadha ka case aap dono ko mila hai?
Rid - Yes Sir, humay hi mila hai
Sha - ok, good good. kya ap dono nai uska diagnosis kiya?

Armaan shows doctor shashank the scans and riddhima explains the patient's present conditions. Dr. Shashank is very satisfied throughout.

Arm - sir, humay lagta hai ke Raadha ko heart translpant milna chahiye. She deserves it.
Sha - you're absolutely right Dr. Armaan. Aur issi liye maine aap dono ko idhar bulaya tha. Aap dono ko delhi jaakay uss heart ka intezaam karna hoga.
Rid - par, hum delhi...yahan patient ka khayal kaun rakhega?
Sha - Dr. Keerti yahan patient ko dekh leyngi.
Rid - Lekin Dr., iss heart ko via airplane kyun nahi bhejdete?
Sha - vo iss liye ke hum ek aur hospital ke saat compete karrahe hain iss dil ke liye. Hamare patient ko bhi chahiye aur dusray hospital ke patient ko bhi zarurat hai jeenay ke liye. To aap Sanjeevani ki taraf se jayengay aur yeh dil lene jayengay. Can you do that?
Arm - Hum puri koishish kareyngay (is weirdly excited for this...he's just not sure why exactly)
Rid - Yes sir.
Sha - Great! That's exactly what I expect from interns like yourself. Keep up the good work.
Arm&rid - thank you sir.
Sha - Main details Dr. Keerti ko dedounga. Delhi ke aik gaon main jaana hoga. Aap ko details Dr. keerti se miljayengi. Ab aap dono vapes kaam pe jaasakte hain.
They both get up and leave.
Arm - Wow!
Rid - Kiya hua?
Arm - Main to samajtha tha ke yeh bohot karhus type ke doctor hongay, par ye to bilkul easy going and smooth...Dr. Shashank nahin but Shanky
Rid - Yeh kiya badtamizi hai? Aise naam kyun bighar rahe ho. It's DR. SHASHANK for your information
Arm - come on, Shanky takes less effort to say.
Rid - Nahin karo armaan
Arm - mera mooh hai, main to kahunga...shanky
Rid - Shut up!
Arm - Shanky shanky shanky! (smiles, he loves teasing her)
Riddhima puts her finger on Armaan's mouth to shut him. She doesn't like him calling her papa like that. She looks in his eyes. She just wants him to be quiet. For a second Armaan becomes quiet and stares back at her, and automatically, riddhima ki nazrein nichay hojathi hain. Then, he lightly kisses her finger. She quickly takes it away and looks down. Armaan comes closer to her and with his hand, he tucks her hair behind her ears and going right up to her so she could feel the breath of his whisper, he whispers "Admit it, you missed me.".
